Jason Woods.

I never really talked about Jason, then again at the time I never really knew him. He had so many secrets and so many things hidden. How do you get to know someone doesn't share anything? I never wrapped my head around why guys were so mysterious and secretive. Or perhaps it was just Jason that was that way. Then again I was just some girl who came at his beckoning call. He was truly a mystery to me. It wasn't till after high school he shared about what his life was like before and after the incident.

Jason had transferred to our school in the second semester of junior year. His mom and him had just moved from the next city over. His mom Gina, had just gotten out of a relationship with her alcoholic boyfriend. So the move was something she desperately needed. Jason never really knew who his father was, his mom hooked up with some guy at a house party in her teenage years and got pregnant. Gina had contemplated about terminating her pregnancy, but ultimately decided to carry Jason to full term. She had attempted to give him up for adoption but when the day came she was so in love with her son. How could she give away this baby boy? She couldn't. She tried her best to provide for him, and give him the love she thought he deserved. Jason and his mom lived with his grandma for a good portion of his life, until Mark came into the picture. Mark, was a functioning alcoholic, he woke up and drank, he drank beer with every meal. He had to have gone through a 24-pack in one day at least. I can't imagine how much his mom spent on beer alone. Mark was the only significant man in his or his mom's life, and up to that point Jason had only grew up around women. So Mark was his one and only male role model. Mark was a man's man, he smoked cigarettes, he drank every hour of every day, he drove a big red truck, he provided for the house, he had firearms in the house, he ate red meat consistently, and every night he would sit on the couch and watch the sports channel until he passed out (with a beer in his hand of course.). How Gina and Mark ever got together in the first place, I will never know. However when Mark got a DUI and lost his job in the same week is when Gina was just about at her limits. So Jason's mom broke up with Mark and moved back in with Jason's grandma.

And of course we remember everything that happened in chapter 1. But Jason described that whole situation as stupid, and he says that because he didn't know what he really wanted at the time. He thought Kira was cute and then he set his sights over on me for whatever reason. He sighted horniness as the reason. Unbeknownst to me, Kira and Jason weren't exactly sexually active with each other. The hold up was Kira's mom, who insisted that she got on to birth control as soon as Jason and her got together. Her mom liked Jason but she still didn't trust him. So Kira's mom got a birth control implant for Kira to put in her arm. Yeah you read that right, I said in her arm. Not a fun time. Kira's hormones were all over the place and on top of that she had a three week long period. So she was struggling and Jason was fiending, which is where I came into the picture. Even after he was juggling Kira and I, he got a girl's number. He thought to himself,

"What could go wrong?"

The girl in question was Vince's younger sister Angelika. Yes, Vince as in the drug dealer Vince Alice cheated on Wayne with. Angelika was pretty basic , skinny and blonde (which besides the skinny part, that's essentially everything Kira and I were not.) Angelika and Jason hooked up (Of course, it's like his whole fucking thing throughout Junior and Senior year. Duh.) and after they hooked up, Angelika introduced him to her bigger brother Vince. Jason was kinda thrown through a loop because he wasn't expecting for any of this to happen at this point. Vince introduced Jason to pain killers almost immediately. At first Jason refused, but Vince said,
