At first, when I opened my eyes it felt like I was in heaven because all I could see was white. Squinting my eyes a little, I helped myself sit up and finally noticed I was in the hospital with a drip infused in my hand.

A hand dropped on my shoulder and I turned to see Bethany and Amy sitting in front of me . They were saying something to me which I couldn't quite grasp until Amy hit me hard and I looked at her in anger.

    "What was that for?"

"Told you it would work. It always does," she said to Beth, ignoring my question.

"Are you okay?" Bethany asked. She was always the sensible one.

I nodded in response and Amy's facial expression changed. "If I was there when that idiot tried to rape you I'd have made him impotent for life," she said and a little chuckle escaped my mouth.

"Where's mum and dad?" I asked, looking around.

"They are in the police station, handling Ian," Amy replied.

"Your mum was so furious that I could fry an omelette on her head," Bethany added, making we three laugh.

"I feel like giving him a tight slap," I said to myself as I remembered begging him to stop. It felt like my pride was wounded upon reminiscing that moment.

"Do you want to go home?" Beth asked. "Your mother asked us to bring you back home immediately you regain consciousness."

Great! Now she's going to start acting like those overprotective mums again. If I didn't lose my life from Ian's attempt to rape me, I was definitely going to lose it for too much sweetness from my mum.

"I'll go get your discharge papers," Amy said and left.

We arrived home, minutes later and the house was as silent as a graveyard. Not a single soul was home, I couldn't even find the servants.

"Hello," I said and a chill went up my spine as my voice echoed round the house.

Bethany and Amy decided to stay for a while to keep me company.

Due to the pressure Ian put on my hands when tying them together, I couldn't quite move them well but the doctor said it's nothing to worry about and that I'd be fine in the next few days if only I just relax. Which gives Beth and Amy the more reason to stay.

I kinda like it being sick around them. All attention gets shifted to me and the warmth I feel when I'm being pampered like a child is undescribable but around my mum, it's the opposite. I get to sit down and hear her gist me about all the boring and yuck things going on in her life. It is the worst thing that can ever happen to me and I'm going to be facing it for the next couple of days. Argh! My life sucks.

"You should pick up your phone and call Kelvin Stark," I heard Amy said and I noticed I had been lost in thought.

"Ummmmm........why should I call him?" I asked, surprised.

Amy stood straight and placed both hands on her hips with an electric whisk in one of them. She was making pancakes. I love pancakes.

"What?" I asked, looking everywhere except at her.

"You weren't listening, were you?" She asked and even without seeing her face, I knew she was giving me the looks.

"I'm quite sure I heard the part 'call Kelvin Stark' from you," I tried justifying myself.
