Chapter 14

Kiara

It has gotten to a point in my life that I think this family know a lot about me than I even know about myself. I didn't even know I had powers until this morning and now I'm standing alone with Kelvin in our room waiting for him to give me answers but he just stands there silently looking at me.

A sigh escapes his mouth as he runs his hands through his hair. "Where do I start from?" he asked me.

"Anywhere," I was quick to reply.

"Kiara, I don't want to involve you in any of these things. I think you're better off safe without knowing," he said.

"Kelvin this is my life. If anything I deserve to know how I did whatever I did this morning. Your uncle won't stop giving me deadly glares like I'm some kind of criminal, it's quite clear your father doesn't like me and your mum keeps giving me wierd looks. Their emotions towards me is linked to one answer and I need you to tell me why," I pleaded, my eyes burning through his.

"I.............I can't," he said in the lowest voice possible.

"What are you so afraid of?" I snapped at him.

"You," he confessed. "My biggest fear is loosing you."

It felt like a huge burden has been lifted off his shoulders.

"Why?" I pressed on. "Why do I mean so much to you?"

A lot of emotions clouded my mind that I wasn't aware of when Kelvin closed the gap between us.

"Just because," in the blink of an eye, he cupped my cheeks and kissed me hard. This wasn't some kind of love kiss or anything. It was a kiss that said everything we couldn't say to each other. Through the way Kelvin kissed me, I could tell how much he had yearned to do it.

"You taste so good," he muttered in between my lips and a brief smile appeared on my lips before we resumed our kiss again.

God, I wanted him. I wanted him so damn much and I've come to realize.

OMG, I've fallen in love with the beast. Within our few encounters together, I ended up giving him my heart.

The question is, does Kelvin feel the same way?

His hands slid down to my waist and gently pushed me against the wall, our lips not leaving each other for a minute.

Finally we gave in to the need for air. Kelvin looked at me for a minute with a devoid of emotion in his eyes which I couldn't quite understand. I stared into his eyes trying to figure out why he looked at me like that but before I could, he buried his face in my neck and sucked on my skin.

I wanted to protest but his tongue did marvellous wonders to me that I let out a loud moan.

"Fuck," I said, making Kelvin laugh and his laugh vibrated around my body.

"Uncle, you're here. Do you need anything?"

That was Jacob telling us to stop whatever it is that's happening now.

"I'm here to see my nephew so move aside."

And he just had to spoil everything.

Kelvin quickly used his powers to teleport me to the garden and I gave in to it's beauty.

Thank God the office gave me a month leave after my wedding. I was told to consider it as a wedding gift from them to us. Thank God I didn't decline it or else I'd have probably died of depression by now.

"Mummy," Kelly's voice broke me out of my thoughts.

She was crying. Why was she crying?

I hugged her immediately she ran towards me and she burst into tears.
