The tension in the air was palpable as Class 1-A reached the pitching test. Suzuha Chikage could feel the anxiety radiating from Izuku Midoriya, who was clearly aware that this was his last chance to prove himself and avoid expulsion. She observed him closely, her pen hovering over her notebook, ready to capture every detail.
Izuku stepped up to the pitcher's mound, gripping the ball tightly. Suzuha could see the determination etched on his face, but also the fear lurking in his eyes. The inner struggle was evident, and Suzuha felt a pang of sympathy. She had seen that look before-someone facing an impossible challenge, where failure seemed inevitable.
He took a deep breath, wound up, and threw the ball with all his might.
But instead of a powerful throw, the ball fell short, rolling pathetically across the ground. A collective gasp echoed through the class, the weight of disappointment settling heavily over everyone.
The device beeped, displaying the result: **46 meters**.
Suzuha's eyes widened, and she felt her grip on the pen loosen slightly, disbelief flooding her senses. *It was just a normal throw... something's off.* Confusion flickered in her eyes. *Midoriya was clearly aiming for more than that.*
Aizawa's voice cut through the tense silence. "I've erased your Quirk," he said, his tone cold and unyielding. "Try again."
*What's going on here?* Suzuha thought, still unsure of what exactly had happened. *Why is he giving him a second chance?* Her mind raced as she tried to piece together what she had missed.
It was then that she heard Izuku's shaky voice. "You're... the Erasure Hero: Eraser Head?" he asked, disbelief coloring his tone.
The realization hit Suzuha like a bolt of lightning. *Eraser Head?* Her eyes snapped back to Aizawa. *The underground hero who can erase Quirks... That's why Midoriya's throw fell so short.*
The class erupted in whispers.
"Who is this guy?" one of the students murmured.
"Yeah, how come we've never heard of him before?" another asked, looking puzzled.
"I've heard of him," a voice chimed in. "He's not exactly famous, but I remember reading about him. They say he hates media appearances. That's why he's not well-known."
Suzuha wasn't really paying attention to their whispers though, her mind flashing back to a distant memory. The name "Aizawa" had triggered something earlier, but she hadn't pieced it together until now. She stared at him, her heart pounding as realization dawned.
*Could it be...?* She hesitated, her pen hovering above her notebook.
She remembered the tall, tired-looking man her father had introduced to her when she was younger at a family gathering. "Uncle Aizawa," her father had called him. He was a family friend, someone who had watched over her a few times when she was younger. But she hadn't connected the dots until now.
*Uncle Aizawa... the same Eraser Head standing in front of me right now.* Suzuha felt a shock of recognition run through her. *I can't believe I didn't realize it sooner.*
She shook her head, trying to refocus. *It doesn't matter right now. What's important is what happens next.*
"You've got your Quirk back. Go give it another go. Let's get this over with," Aizawa stated calmly.
Suzuha watched as Aizawa released his Quirk, his eyes returning to their usual state as he reached for a small bottle of eyedrops. He calmly applied them, the simple action oddly surreal in the midst of such a high-pressure moment.
Eraser Head's words had clearly struck a chord with Izuku. He stood there, the weight of Aizawa's judgment pressing down on him like a physical force.
Izuku was given one more throw. Suzuha could see the inner turmoil on his face as he weighed his options. If he used his Quirk, he risked injuring himself and failing the other tests. If he didn't, he would undoubtedly fail this one and be expelled. It was a no-win situation, and Suzuha could feel the unfairness of it gnawing at her.
*There has to be a way out of this,* she thought, watching Izuku carefully. *He can't afford to fail-not after coming this far. He just needs control, some way to limit the damage.*
As Izuku stepped back up to the mound, Suzuha jotted down her thoughts, her pen moving almost instinctively:
Midoriya - Ball throw ( Last chance to prove himself. High risk of injury if Quirk is used improperly. Needs to demonstrate control and ingenuity.)
The atmosphere was suffocating. Even Suzuha, who usually maintained her composure, could feel the pressure. She glanced around at her classmates, seeing the tension mirrored in their expressions.
Taking Eraser Head's advice to heart, Izuku wound up for his throw. At the last second, Suzuha noticed a spark of determination in his eyes. Something had changed-he had made a decision.
Izuku concentrated **One For All** through his fingertips, releasing the ball with a burst of energy. The ball soared through the air with explosive force, landing far beyond anyone's expectations. A wave of shock and astonishment swept through the class.
The device beeped, displaying the result: **705.3 meters**.
Suzuha's pen flew across the page:
Midoriya - Quirk control through fingertips. High score achieved. Potential for precise power usage.
The silence was broken by a cheer. It was Ochaco Uraraka who clapped first, her bright smile lighting up the tense atmosphere. Slowly, more cheers followed, and soon, the class erupted in astonished applause.
Suzuha couldn't help but feel a surge of admiration for Izuku. *In the face of impossible odds, he still found a way to prove himself. That's what being a hero is all about.*
Eraser Head's expression shifted ever so slightly, a hint of approval in his otherwise stoic demeanor. Even All Might, who had been watching from the sidelines, seemed impressed by Izuku's ingenuity and resolve.
Suzuha glanced around at her classmates, taking in their reactions. Some were in awe, others inspired. Katsuki Bakugo's face was twisted into a scowl, clearly irritated that Izuku had managed to pull through. Suzuha noticed his clenched fists and the storm brewing in his eyes. *He's not going to let this go easily.*
But for Suzuha, it wasn't just about the victory-it was about the lesson. *Even in the face of adversity, one can find a way to rise above it,* she thought, her pen dancing across her notebook.
Midoriya - Exemplified true hero spirit. Overcame limitations with creativity and determination. A lesson for all of us.
As the class settled down, Mineta and Yaoyorozu preparing for the final tests, the memory of Izuku's decisive pitch lingered in the minds of Class 1-A. For Suzuha, it was a reminder of resilience. No matter how insurmountable the challenge seemed, there was always a way forward.
She glanced one more time at Aizawa, her mind still reeling from the realization. *Uncle Aizawa... I wonder if he remembers me.* The thought brought a small, ironic smile to her lips. She made a mental note to talk to him later, but for now, she had to stay focused on the task at hand.
