You Know My Heart

You know my heart;
My wickedness and sin.
Yet You call me friend,
And welcome me in.

I rejected Your love,
And cursed Your good will,
Yet You died in my place,
And Your own blood did spill.

There's few who would die,
Even for their own friend.
Yet though I was an enemy,
Your own flesh You did rend.

Though our sin is as scarlet,
You wash us white as snow.
From mounts Calvary and Zion,
Your mercy and blood flow.

You know me in full;
Every bad deed I've done.
Still though, You love me,
And made me Your son.

Thank You my Father;
You alone are God.
Please help and sustain me,
As through life I plod.

I'm struggling to cope,
With life's darkness and pain.
Please help me to sing,
And rejoice in You again.

My heartbeat is heavy;
In my chest it feels weak.
No longer for healing,
In this world do I seek.

My frame has been shattered;
No treatment avails.
Please prepare my soul,
For what Your will entails.

I trust You my Lord,
But my flesh is feeble.
Put steel in my spine,
And protect me from evil.

If death should come,
Help me to hold fast.
Help me to remember,
All in Jesus will last.

You conquered the grave,
And forgave my sin.
Though I will die,
In You I'll rise again.

You are my Maker,
My Lord God and Friend.
You delight to love me,
And my broken heart to mend.

You've taken my soul,
Though broken and torn,
And given me life;
I have been reborn.

Please hold me tightly,
My Father and King.
In You I rejoice,
And of Your Name sing.

You know my heart;
My desperate, great need.
To save and redeem me,
Your own Son did bleed.

Bless You Lord Jesus;
Praise Your holy Name.
To deliver and raise us,
Is why You came.
