How can I say I'm tired if they are waiting?
How can I say I give up if they are expecting?
I'm drowning in my own mind expecting to be suffocated with my abbysal thoughts.

How can I pause when their dreams keep calling?
When I'm tangled in hope, despite the falling?
I swim in the dark, yet fear the light,
Afraid that my struggle won't turn out right.

But how can I say stop, when they are believing?
Even as my heart breaks, silently grieving.
I rise with a burden too heavy to bear,
But how can I quit, knowing they're there?
