What's that word?
It seems like a verry happy word for everyone,
But it's the most depressing word to hear for someone who doesn't even know what a family feels like.
Everyone has a family but not every family feels like one. What's that word?
It rolls off tongues with warmth and grace,
But leaves a hollow space inside those who never had a place.
A bond that's spoken of with joy, yet laced with silent tears,
For those whose family ties are tangled, lost throughout the years. What's that word?
It echoes in the hearts of many, yet some feel out of tune,
A dream deferred, a fading star beneath a distant moon.
A word that paints a picture bright, of homes and hearts that heal,
But for the ones left on the edge, it's something they can't feel. What's that word?
It's family—so simple, yet so hard to define,
A concept built on love, but sometimes crossed by a fragile line.
Some find solace in its arms, a refuge, soft and true,
While others search for what it means, not knowing what to do.
