The moment I opened my eyes
It was better when I was asleep
I didn't want to wake up
It is depressing because it was almost like a reverse nightmareLike when you wake up from a nightmare you feel relieved
But for me the moment I opened my eyes nightmare starts.
That's the difference between you and me
When you wake up your nightmare ends. But when I wake, mine just begins,
The weight of the world pressing in,
The sun still shines, but it feels so cold,
As if I'm walking through shadows untold. The silence is loud, the day too long,
Everything feels like it's going wrong.
While you rise with hope and peace,
I face the day with no release.I carry dreams too heavy to bear,
And wake to find them still lingering there.
For you, the dawn brings light anew,
For me, it paints the darkest hue.
