Chapter 37 - Michiyo and I

Ryoga released a loud yawn because it's the next day and they will need to go back into their shabby and small home later. He liked this beach house more since it was spacious. He watched the sunrise before and he thought it felt somewhat enlightening. 

'Am I the only one up?' He thought as he wandered around. 'Shion is not a morning person so there's no point waking him.' He heard noises in the kitchen. He could smell someone cooking. He's guessing it's either Machiko or Michiyo.

Once he was closer to the kitchen, he smiled. 'It's Michi.' 

"Shibaken is so mean to me. After all that we've been through and you're still like an angry cat when you're receiving affection." 

"Serve you right!"

Ryoga was honestly surprised Mikoshiba was up at this time. He decided to listen in on them and see what they were bickering about.

"You got the white stuff all over my face just now." 

Ryoga stopped smiling immediately! What the hell was he hearing?!

"You should be happy it was me who did that! If it was the other three- it would have gotten all over the place and made a mess! You have to admit, Flowers for brain, my aim is pretty good in real life and in game!"

"You did make a mess though?! It splattered on my face!" 

"You can just lick it off! A lot of people do that! Besides, it was your fault for surprising me! I didn't even get the tissue in time!"

Ryoga decided to sneak away. In the middle of cooking, Michiyo and Mikoshiba...?! 'Shibaken is a kid and all...but I guess boys are all perverts no matter the age.' Ryoga wasn't sure if he should be happy or not. Judging from what Michiyo said, none of the white stuff got onto the food-

"It tastes better than I thought, Shibaken." 

"See? It isn't so bad. Don't tell anyone about this. I don't want them flipping out." 

"Okay." 

Ryoga went on a full on sprint! He ran away! He did not want to hear any more than he needed to! "Michi and Shibaken are going too fast...?!"

...

They will leave in the afternoon so they will eat breakfast here. Michiyo made breakfast since the adults went all out on the barbecue and drinking. Michiyo figured they will be hungover so she decided to cook something to relieve them. However, looking at their faces, Shion and Inukai looked the most okay in comparison to Ryoga and Machiko, both looked like they've hit rock bottom; if Mikoshiba had to describe their face right now it'd be as if you picked the lottery number and all the numbers are to the left of the winning numbers. The sheer disappoint couldn't be missed. 

"Are you two okay?" Shion asked out of curiosity.

"...I guess?" Ryoga looked at Shion and then he looked at Mikoshiba. A sigh of disappointment left him. 

"Hah?" Mikoshiba did not understand. 

"Now remember to clean up. We need to leave this place exactly as before we entered. I will be inspecting each rooms right now." Inukai said before leaving the table.

"Yuto-san, I'll help you." Michiyo was helpful as always and Inukai was touched by the offer to help he almost felt like crying.

Mikoshiba did not want them to be alone so he decided to go along too. Plus, messing with the prison guard will provide some sort of entertainment for the time being.
