If I had you
I would feel more myself
And I could let go of remembering your smile
If you were in front of me
If I could see the corners of your eyes and the tip of your nose
If I could see the way your shoulders stretch beneath your clothes
Maybe I wouldn't have to live like this anymore.I'd never have to chase you.
My heart doesn't skip when I see you,
It fills and overflows.
To know you're in the room will always be enough
If I had you
All the time I'd be more alive
If I never see your face again
Love will have failed me too many times.
It's like refusing to see the sun darken to night
You, my cathedral of art
If I let you go once I may forever be blind.Lover, my heart was too open.
I know I was caught in a trance,
But you didn't have to touch me
with a future on your hands.
If only you were mine
More than under the same moon
More than on Fate's string
You and I aren't on the same paths
But love is a winding stream
If you were mine
If you would truly be with me
If my name wasn't in your locked box
Or if only I had the key
We would share so much joy
You would have all of me
Never speak to me again,
But we could be so happy.
