SOMETIMES MIKAYLA wished that Levi can just disappear into thin air. Especially when she was supposed to go to the biggest party of the year but was forced to babysit him.
"This can't be happening!" Lydia screeched at the top of her lungs after her friend informed her about her recent change of plans.
Mikayla gestured her hand towards Levi, who was lying down on the carpeted floor, listening to Elvis Presley on his iPad. "It's happening!"
"I'm sorry but at this point, our lives are cursed," Lydia dramatically said. "Cause whenever we get invited to some cool high school party, we're forced to look after your little brother!"
She clinched her brows. "Alright, this is our first time getting invited to a high school party so. . .your claim about our lives being 'cursed' doesn't mean anything."
Meanwhile Levi rose back onto his feet and simply headed into the kitchen, during the process, he purposefully bumped into Lydia's side. She let out a small scoff. "Excuse you!"
The youngest male threw up a peace sign as he sauntered inside the kitchen, slamming the door shut which startled the two teenagers.
Then an idea sparked in Lydia's mind. "Wait, when's Levi's bedtime?" She inquired. If Levi can fall asleep, then the girls can be able to sneak out to the party without anyone finding out.
Mikayla reached down to switch off the Elvis music playing from Levi's green tablet. "Uh, 8.30pm. But if he remember that LEGO spaceship he's been building, then it might be Monday morning," She told before averting her gaze to the clock that hung above the TV. "It's time to make Levi his dinner."
"At this time?" Lydia pointing out how it was kinda early to be making dinner.
The brunette shot her a look. "Do you wanna go to the party or not?" She asked. The Martinez girl's eyes went wide and slightly pushed her into the kitchen, ushering her to make the dinner.
