"What a day. I am beat."
"You certainly do look exhausted. Your looks also seem to add to the fact that you look exhausted."
"So you've got jokes huh?"
"No idea what you mean young master."
F/N and Matthew were back in his room. A few hours have passed now and it's nighttime. However, F/N isn't finished for the day yet.
"What are you doing?" Matthew observed as his master pulled out a pen and journal from within his cloak that was lying by his side that he had taken off.
"I'm going to write a letter to everyone. And another letter for Mother." F/N grabbed his glasses that were hanging on his coat and put them on. "You'll be leaving soon, won't you, Matthew?"
"... That's right." Matthew confirmed as he closed his eyes. "Now that my mission is complete and I also have all the stolen money with me. It's time for me to head back to Yan."
"Figured as much." F/N hummed as he squinted and began flipping through the pages of his journal, searching for an empty page. "I won't be coming back to Yan yet..."
"... I figured you'd say that." Matthew's ears dropped slightly at the information. "Especially with all these people you've been taking care of."
"These people are one of the reasons I can't return home yet. I wanna stick along for a bit in the city here. At least, long enough where I think it'd be fine that I leave." F/N pushes his pen down on the fresh new piece of paper. "Not just them. But there's also Patriot's group. Either way, I'm going to remain here in Ursus for about a few months into the new year. Then I'll leave the country and go elsewhere."
"Where would you be going next?"
"I don't know really... I still need to plan out my next move." F/N hummed at the question thrown his way. "Matthew, can I task you with something."
"Of course. Anything for you." Matthew looked at his master who smiled without looking his way.
"Give Mother her letter first and then read out loud my letter to everyone else." F/N breathes out. "I'm writing everyone's letter first and foremost. However... I'll be writing a lie at the end of the letter. I'm telling you this now so you won't get confused when reading it yourself."
"What lie will that be?"
"Nothing that bad. It's just a small lie. A note that I have already left the country by the time they're listening to you speak." F/N kept his attention on the paper of his journal as he continued to write at a slow pace. "I don't want anyone getting any ideas of coming to Ursus now just to meet me. The idea of us reuniting is pleasant, but I'm afraid the time is not right. It's more so the fact that I don't feel like I'm ready to see everyone again. There's a lot I have to do still."
"..."
"Will you listen to my request, Matthew?"
"A request is a request. If you ever have something to task us with. We shall follow through. That is the duty of a servant after all." Matthew spoke in a dutiful tone. "Whatever task you may have for me, I'll follow through. I'll make sure to deliver to letter to your mother first and then read the one assigned to us out loud to everyone."
"Thank you."
"Don't mention it. I'm just doing my job."
"In that case, can you make me some coffee in the meantime while I'm writing here?"
"I'll see it through!" The Lupo smiled widely, his tail wagged around. "But wait... wouldn't caffeine at this time give you difficulty sleeping? Hmm... I don't know, you need to get proper sleep to function through the day."
