After the two of them walked through the forest for a while, they arrived at a small hidden clearing. As the young man slowly followed Nahla, he saw a small hut in the middle of the clearing.

There was also a waterfall next to the house that flowed into a clear pond, as well as a small garden with a wide variety of grasses and plants. The rain had now stopped and the scenery was bathed in the cold light of the moon.

The two figures slowly walked towards the hut and stopped in front of the door.

Through the windows you could see the bright light inside and the young man wondered what kind of place this was. Nahla knocked on the door three times and then took a few steps back. A loud bang sounded in the house, followed by frantic footsteps and the next moment the front door opened.

The silver-haired man was surprised at what he encountered. In front of him stood a small creature with short, turquoise fur and white patterns. She also had blonde-brown hair and violet eyes.

She also had a pair of strange ears on her head. The little creature also wore normal clothing and a small, pink apron. „Oh, Master! You have returned!" she exclaimed in a surprised voice in which one could hear a slight accent.

„Ah, Sedene. How nice that you are here. Could you please bring us some towels and clothes for this young Man?" Nahla asked gently, whereupon Sedene quickly scurried into one of the rooms.

The man looked at her questioningly as Nahla turned to him again and carefully took his hand to pull him into the house.

He looked around the house in fascination. It was really nice and warm. The fire of a fireplace burned brightly in a corner of the house, where there were also several sofas and armchairs with fur blankets.

Shortly afterwards Sedene came back with clothes and scarves. When she gave the young man his, he looked at it with fascination. Nahla, who noticed it, had to smile and began to speak.

„Sedene is a Melusine. She helps me around the house and takes care of everything when I'm not here." He listened to her attentively.

"Well, you can dry yourself with the towels and put your clothes on. If you need help, just ask Sedene or call me, I have to get something quickly and change myself."

With those words she finally let go of his hand and made her way into one of the rooms.

When her hand let go of his, the pleasant feeling of warmth was gone, which irritated him a little, but he didn't say anything about it. So after he had dried himself and dressed, little Melusine came back.

She greeted him warmly and then went to the kitchenette and started cooking.

He watched, fascinated, as she began to make a simple chicken soup. Just the smell that slowly spread through the air made his mouth water.

Shortly afterwards Nahla came back. She was now wearing a similar pearl white dress, the difference being that it wasn't soaked.

„Ah, Sedene, are you making soup? No wonder it smells so good here." Nahla commented in a friendly manner and then turned back to the young man.

„Oh dear, your hair is still very wet! We don't want you to get sick!" With these words she took him by the hand again and led him to the dining table.

While he obediently followed Nahla to the table, he had also began to feel more relaxed. Everything here seemed comfortable and warm, as well as completely different from the forest.

The place looked and felt as though it belonged to a person who also was of a gentle temperament. Everything felt homely and as he sat down on a chair at the table, his stomach rumbled quietly. A soft reminder of how hungry he felt.
