Jin was having a hard time trying to comfort Kazuya and was relieved when his mother and uncles showed up.
"Great, you guys are here," Jin grinned. "Dad's really moody."
Lee sighed tiredly. "Why am I not surprised?" he went to sit beside Kazuya, sulked on the bed. "Come on, Spiky. It's just food. It's not like Heihachi cooked them for you or something."
"Not like he manufactured them either," Lars added. "Think of the poor food, they didn't choose to be bought by Heihachi."
"It just leaves a bad taste in the mouth to think that Heihachi brought all of that," Kazuya sighed. "Today was a whirlwind for all of us."
"Including the blondies," Jun added with a sigh. "Maybe we should just rest, it's been a long day too."
She went over to Kazuya and hugged him, planting a kiss on his forehead. Jin, Lee, and Lars, exchanged looks and quickly bade their farewell and made an exit.
"Yeah, Mom's got it covered now," Jin said, closing the door behind them. "Now let's go see what's up with Mom 2."
"I'm sure Anna has it covered," Lee smirked as they walked back to the living room. "It's hard to stay grumpy with her around."
"The same can be said for you as well," Lars smirked at him.
Jin nodded in agreement, a smile on his face. "True that."
When they arrived at the living room, they were surprised to see the blonds there as well, working with Anna to comfort Amber. It seemed like they were making great progress too, since she was smiling as she spoke to them.
"Mom has Dad covered, so we have decided to take our leave," Jin said, seating himself on the armchair. "Mom 2, how are you?"
Amber sighed. "Well, it's been a long day, and I'm tired."
Jin smiled. "Yeah it has. By the way, I was thinking that maybe we should eat out for breakfast tomorrow. What do you think?"
"Sure, I'd like that," Amber nodded.
Nina smiled as she squeezed her shoulder. "Amber, keep in mind. We are all here for you, and you have nothing to worry about. Okay? I want you to remember that."
Amber couldn't help but smile at that. "Don't worry. I'll pay extra attention to keep my mind focussed from now on."
"Good to hear that," Adam said. "Anyway, do we like up our defences or something?"
Lars shrugged. "I'm not sure. He doesn't seem like he wants to attack, but it feels wrong to stand defenceless as well."
"Maybe we can just leave those bear traps there," Steve added, smirking. "Seriously, Grandpa was wild this morning."
"Your grandma too," Adam added, shaking his head. "Seriously, I hope they're not planning a war or something back home."
Nina snorted. "I won't be surprised if they somehow found their way into the weaponry and stole stuff to ambush Heihachi."
Adam frowned as he turned to her. "You won't be mad if they did that, right?"
"Oh, of course not!" Nina chuckled. "Although I am more concerned for their well-being though. Who cares about what happens to Heihachi? I'm more worried for them."
Steve snorted. "I like how you don't even care if they steal weapons, more so to what will happen to them."
Nina shrugged. "Well, they're very complex weapons. If they can use them, then sure."
"But the bear trap thing is kinda brilliant, just that we didn't have enough," Amber added. "Maybe we should get more."
Lars chuckled. "We didn't manage to get much in such short notice. "Just see what will happen tomorrow."
"I heard G Corp's courtyard is full of them," Nina added. "Jun was laughing about it earlier."
"Must be Dad's work," Jin snorted, shifting slightly on the armchair. "I wonder how he managed to get so much in so little time."
"I warned him this morning," Adam smirked. "I think he was on the way to work, we were still at the cafe."
"You guys must have had a really long day," Lee said, grabbing his coat. "And it's getting late too..."
"You guys wanna stay the night?" Amber offered. "I'm sure Jin can arrange something for you guys."
Jin nodded approvingly. "Yeah, there's a suite downstairs, in the thirtieth floor. The Kunimitsus and Josie live there."
Nina gasped. "The Kunimitsus! Gosh, it's been a minute since we met them. How are they? Still up to no good?"
"Well, the mother mellowed a little, became besties with Josie," Lars smirked. "But maybe it's because Jin threatened to erase her."
"Sounds right," Steve leaned against Jin's armchair. "Remember how she snuck into our home as a HVAC repairwoman?"
Jin nodded. "Yeah. That's why I didn't want her to turn on us. But Josie is getting along with both. It's hard not to like her, I guess."
"You guess?" Amber snorted. "Jin, Josie has a heart of gold, it's impossible to not like her."
"Eh, I don't really like her," Nina shook her head. "She's such a crybaby."
"But she's still got a strong will," Lars added. "She doesn't give up very easily, even if she's always teary."
"Aww," Amber smiled. "See? Crying doesn't always mean weakness."
Jin got up. "You guys wanna stay over? I can make arrangements right away."
Adam turned to his family. "What do you guys think?"
"Your parents are waiting for us," Nina said. "It's better if we just go home. The traffic should be clear now."
"And they made cherpumple," Steve added, grinning.
Adam immediately lit up. "Oh! I love that!"
Nina was confused. "What on earth is that?"
"Cherry pie, pumpkin pie, and apple pie baked in spice cakes and layered," Steve explained. "It's really good, and it's awaiting us."
Nina looked surprise. "Sounds like a lot of work. Is it even tasty?"
"Yeah, I need to know that as well," Anna added, putting her coat on. "Well, I guess we will be leaving, then. We miss Tori."
"Yeah, we left her with Shasha," Lee added, wrapping an arm around his wife. "Wonder how our baby is doing."
Steve's eyes widened. "Wait, you left a three-month-old with Shasha, who has no experience with children. You sure she knows what she's doing?"
Anna chuckled. "Nah, she's not exactly watching Tori, more like she's watching Combot who's actually taking care of Tori."
Everyone were relieved at that.
"Okay, but you sure Combot knows what to do?" Amber asked. "Babies aren't easy..."
"Yeah, that's why we had Shasha watch Combot," Lee added. "It's a long story, we'll just inform you guys once we're home. Bye!"
With that, the two of them just saw themselves out.
"Maybe we should leave too," Adam sighed. "It's a long drive back, but..." he smirked. "Cherpumple..."
"Send us pictures," Jin added. "Be careful of the bear traps, okay?"
The blonds bade their farewell, expressed their concern towards Amber, then left to go home.
