Months Pass

A few months passed and Anna's belly grew more round. Even Nina was shocked to see her like that. She even came for a visit, having some tea as she chatted with her sister.
"I'm sure you'll be a great mother," Nina sighed. "Unlike me..."
Anna placed her cup down on the table. "Come on, it wasn't your fault. You didn't even know until much later."
Nina nodded. "Twenty-one years later. That's how long it took..."
Steve was munching on peanuts beside her. "Yeah, but it's not like you switched to mother mode right when you found out."
"That's not helping, Steve," Anna shook her head. "Imagine how she would've felt."
Steve sighed and leaned forward, still holding onto his bowl. "Imagine how I would've felt."
"Aww, Steve," Nina groaned slightly, wrapping an arm around him. "I wasn't ready, okay? I didn't know what to do when I saw a fully grown man claiming to be my son."
"Hey, I didn't claim, I asked you," Steve argued, placing the bowl down on the coffee table. "Then again, it all happened against your will, unlike this guy over here." He nudged his father who had been peacefully scrolling through videos on his phone.
"What?!" Adam demanded.
The three of them looked at him in surprise.
"So you're saying... that you didn't listen to a word that we said?" Steve said in disbelief. "Dad!"
Adam sighed and shifted to look at them. "What's up?"
Anna shrugged. "Well, Nina was just telling us that she wasn't ready to accept Steve when she found out who he really was, since it was against her will and whatnot, unlike you."
"They told me my son was dead, Anna, how do you think I felt?" Adam argued. "I mourned for weeks, months, years!"
"Which is it, weeks or months?" Steve asked, grabbing his peanut bowl again.
Adam huffed and shoved at his shoulder. Anna chuckled and helped herself to some peanuts from Steve's bowl.
"By the way, how are your parents?" Anna asked as she popped a peanut into her mouth.
"They're fine, just decided to pay Alisa a visit now that they're here," Adam said, also stealing peanuts from Steve. "Well, they were pretty shaken up when they found that she had died, even more shaken up when they found that she had been resurrected."
"Yeah, who wouldn't be shaken up at this point," Nina couldn't help but say. "Even I was shocked when I woke up like twenty years later, and still looked twenty-two."
"I was too, though I knew what I was getting myself into," Adam added, placing his phone down on his lap. "Anyway, where's Lee?"
"On his 'Brotherly Day' with Kazuya and Lars," Anna chuckled.
Adam looked a little surprised. "Hey, I thought I was a part of this Brotherly Day too?"
"You can go join them if you like, they're at the bar," Anna said, pointing towards the direction of their home bar.
"But I don't even drink," Adam pointed out.
Anna shrugged. "All the more reason you should go. Who knows what the three of them are getting themselves into."
Nina snorted. "I'd like to see a drunk Kazuya, to be honest."
"I'd like to see that as well," Steve smirked.
"Now you've convinced me," Adam got up. "I'm coming too."

The three brothers were at the bar, with Lee making drinks behind it. Kazuya and Lars perched themselves on the barstools as they watched him.
"There's something bothering Jun," Kazuya said. "But she wouldn't tell what it is."
Lars shrugged. "Well, I tried asking her too, but she it seems like even she doesn't know what it is."
Kazuya nodded. "Yeah, that's true."
Lee placed a few glasses in front of them. "How long has this been up?"
"What, her intuition?" Kazuya asked, earning nods from both of them. "Ever since we got back from our honeymoon."
"Gosh, that was ages ago," Lee couldn't help but say, now pouring out some bourbon on the rocks. "She's still worried?"
"A little less now, but I can tell that it's still bothering her," Kazuya sighed, shaking his head.
Lars nodded. "Not just you, all of us can. Jin was asking me about it just before we came here."
"Yeah, he's a little worried about his mother too," Kazuya agreed, lifting his glass to take a sip. "If only I knew what's bothering her..."
To their surprise, Kazuya downed the entire shot before placing the glass down with a clank, then motioned for Lee to add more.
"Nuh-uh, you shouldn't drink more at this state, Spiky," Lee shook his head. "Because I, for one, know that you're not one to down liquor like that. You savour it."
"Not now," Kazuya shook his head. "Nope. I need more."
Lars frowned slightly. "Okay, how about some beer instead?"
"Sounds good too," Lee shrugged, taking out chilled beers. He handed a bottle to each of them before taking one for himself, then joined them on the other side of the bar. "Kazuya, don't beat yourself up like this. It's not your fault that Jun is having this foreboding feeling now."
Lars nodded. "If anything, you need to stay strong for her," he added. "Just like how she's doing right now."
Kazuya scoffed. "She and Amber got themselves drunk at Nina's a few days ago, remember?"
"Oh yeah, I forgot," Lars snorted. "Anna didn't go, right"
Lee immediately shook his head. "Pregnant. She's not that stupid."
"Good," Kazuya said, relieved. "I know for a fact that she gets super wasted."
"Yeah..." Lars snorted, remembering how Nina's gang told him and Jin of the funny story that happened at the bar. "I remember that." He took a sip of his beer. "Yeah, that was funny. Steve said they had to carry her back."
"Yeah, they told me about it too," Kazuya nodded. "We actually went to see her, Jun brought some soup and stuff to cheer her up. One of them even took a video of whatever Anna was doing."
"She turned to Lei, didn't she?" Lee smiled as he pictured it, one hand clasping his beer. "Ah, she's my Queen."
Kazuya smirked. "Good to see you staying loyal to one woman."
Lee shrugged, still smiling. "Well, the only reason I wasn't before is because I never found the right one. Until now."
"Nice," Kazuya clapped his back as he sipped more of his beer. "Also, you guys wanna go for a movie or something?"
"Here? Or outside?" Lars asked, turning away from the bar to face Kazuya, beer still in hand.
"Why go outside when we have a home theatre, Teacake?" Lee smirked. "Come on, let's go. I'll call for some snacks as well."
