Jun sat lounging in the living room with her phone when Hwoarang suddenly shuffled out with his little tote. She stared at him in surprise.
"Okay, I'm movin' out," Hwoarang said.
"Why?" Jun asked. "Did you and Jin have a dispute or something?"
Hwoarang snorted. "A dispute? Nah. Heihachi made an agreement to switch spots with me. He's taking me out to a hotel high tea when we go home."
Jun cracked a smile. "So you'll be sharing with Steve, then."
"Yep," Hwoarang grinned. "Steve was only too happy to agree, apparently. I'm not sure if it has something to do with... fundoshi."
"Eww," Jun shook her head in disgust. "I wouldn't mind seeing Kazuya in one though." She smirked slyly.
It was Hwoarang's turn to be disgusted. "Okay, thanks for the scary images, but I think I'll head out now." Just then, someone knocked on the door. "Ah, that must be him." Hwoarang went over and opened the front door, proven right as soon as he did. "Alright, room's all yours. Have fun roaming around in your fundoshi."
Heihachi stared at the younger man in surprise as he descended the stairs while waving a hand in the air without looking back. He turned to Jun, with a look that demanded an explanation, to which she just shrugged in reply. Heihachi shrugged as well and made his way to Jin's room with his extra large luggage. Jin looked at him in bewilderment as soon as he walked in.
"Wow, and I thought Dad brought a big bag," Jin chuckled. He motioned towards what used to be Hwoarang's bed. "That's your bed, Hwoarang made it for you before leaving."
"How nice of him," Heihachi remarked as he wheeled his luggage towards the foot of his bed. "Also, thanks for letting me stay with you guys." He frowned slightly. "Is Kazuya okay with this?"
Jin snorted. "He's the one that suggested it in the first place."
Heihachi looked at him surprise. "Wait, really?!"
"Yep," Jin nodded, smirking. "He's actually planning something tonight, he's out with Lars to get... stuff."
"What is he planning?" Heihachi asked, hoping that it didn't involve cliffs or mountains.
Jin shrugged. "Stuff."
Heihachi groaned. "Come on, why do you have to be so ominous about it?"
"Why not?" Jin grinned. "Frankly, I'm not really sure about it either. He didn't tell."
"Well, I'm sure we can deal with it, whatever it is," Heihachi eventually said, getting up to start unpacking. "Also, can I move your stuff to the side?"
Jin shrugged and leaned back in his bed. "Sure, go right ahead."Shasha smirked as she watched Hwoarang move out and Heihachi move in instead. "Hwo!" She called as she went down the steps to go after him."
Hwoarang turned to look at her, surprised. "Oh, it's you."
"Yeah," Shasha chuckled. "Wait, now that Heihachi got you kicked out, where will you be?"
"Wherever Heihachi used to stay?" Hwoarang pointed out. "Besides, I think that Steve would be a better roommate than Fringey."
Shasha chuckled, walking alongside him. "Why's that?"
Hwoarang shrugged. "Well, he's just less serious. More fun. Not that Kazama is a bad roommate or anything, he just doesn't loosen up as much." His phone suddenly buzzed with a notification. "And he heard that, apparently." He turned towards the back window that he was walking past. "I know, Grandpa!"
Shasha laughed. "Yeah. So you'll be staying at Nina's, then."
"Yep," Hwoarang sighed. "This holiday has been a wild ride, ain't it?"
"Well, at least it's not as bad as Rikubetsu. So many sleepless nights."
Hwoarang snorted, remembering the amusing stakeouts they had. "Yeah, there was this one part where Jin was hiding up a tree in his Devil Form and we were hiding behind it. Shaheen was with us, and we were talking about Jin's Devil Gene and stuff when he literally just poked his head out of the tree to say that he can still hear us. Shaheen was startled, we were laughing."
Shasha snorted as they ascended the steps of Nina's chalet. "Okay, that was funny. Ah, Rikubetsu may have sleepless but it was fun. There was also that squirrel thing that Adam was rambling about."
"Oh yeah, that was funny," Hwoarang chuckled. He raised his hand to knock on the door, but Steve opened it before he could. "Oh, hey, Blondie."
Steve had the hint of a smile on his face as he stepped aside to let them in. "So, Heihachi moved into Jin's room?"
Hwoarang nodded, stepping in with his little tote. "Yep. One question. Does he really run around in his fundoshi?"
"Goodness, no, despite what all of us thought," Steve smirked, closing the door as he motioned for the living area. "He actually wears pyjamas to bed."
"Okay lah," Shasha said. "And you were terrified of that sight, right?"
"With good reason," Steve pointed out, shuddering slightly at the image from the fourth tournament. "Anyway, he can do whatever he wants now with Kazuya and Jin."
Hwoarang snorted. "Well, Auntie Jun was talking about how she wouldn't mind seeing Kazuya in a fundoshi."
Shasha's face scrunched up in dismay. "Yerrr, why she tell you that?"
"Yeah, like that's too much information..." Steve nodded in agreement, also a little disgusted.
"Who knows?" Hwoang shrugged. "But yeah. I'll be rooming with you from now on."
Shasha sighed. "Too bad I'm not staying here with you guys. Lucky you."
"Wait, I forgot to ask," Steve piped up, leaning forward. "How's rooming with Asuka?"
"Oh, it's fine, she doesn't disturb me, doesn't snore either," Shasha said. "She's a heavy sleeper too, so that's good."
"Why's that?" Steve asked.
Shasha shrugged. "Makes it easier for late night toilet trips, and late night writing ideas. I won't disturb her if I accidentally make a little noise."
Nina entered the room and smiled when she spotted Shasha there. "Hey, Shasha, Hwo."
Shasha grinned. "Hi, Nina."
"How's Heihachi?" Nina asked as she joined them.
"He's fine, I guess," Hwoarang shrugged. "But I guess Auntie Jun's plan is succeeding."
Nina nodded. "Seems so. Good for her."
"But Jin told me that Kazuya is planning something tonight," Hwoarang said. "Who knows what."
Steve chuckled. "I'm sure he doesn't know what it is either."
Hwoarang nodded slowly. "Yeah, that seems so. He looked just as confused when Kazuya went out with Lars."
"Well, let's just hope they aren't planning to burn Heihachi on hot coal or something," Nina shrugged. "That's the closest I can think of to hot lava."
"Yeah, I hope that's not the case," Shasha sighed. "Did you guys try asking him?"
Nina shook her head. "Nope. But Adam went with them, he didn't tell me about it either."
"Just curious, did Grandma and Grandma go along with them?" Steve asked, seeing how his grandparents were nowhere to be seen. "Because I'm still scared about their... vendetta."
"Nah," Nina snorted. "They just went for a walk on the beach. You can see them from here, I think." She pointed towards the sea not far from the chalet.
Steve frowned. "I think it's too far away to be seen from here. But that's a relief, knowing that they didn't go with Kazuya. They might try to brainwash him out of accepting Heihachi."
"I don't think so, your grandparents seem pretty acceptant towards him now, I think they even felt bad for him at some point," Shasha added. "But yeah, I'm still a bit scared too."
