Scene XXVI

Russia POV (After the party)

I am quite relieved that the social gathering is ending so that I don't have to suffocate in everyone's presence even if my identity is unknown. Shortly after America left, I couldn't help the growth of feelings for the country. Even if a miniscule of time is in her presence, I yearn for more. I should be content with China, but my emotions say otherwise.

There's no way I like her too.

China waits for me patiently from the doorway of my room as I gather up my things. I'm staying at his house today, thankful to get away from the late night family drama talk my dad always holds after every ball. It's not that I don't like hearing all the nasty remarks that spurs tension between empires. I love the constant threats as each family gives to each other. Some may not know their friends are traitors.

Everytime, it seems to surprise me how no one fought during all the heated tension in the ballroom. Some actually tried enjoying their time to befriend others, although they may be friending their enemy. The mask keeps everything a mystery and ensures no one is found for their rumors or actions.

I place my black backpack on my shoulders before making my way towards China. He looks up from his phone, acknowledging me with a small grin before we take off in the direction of the front gates.

As we turn the corner, a pair of arms latch onto China's waist. China flinches, but calms when he realizes it's my annoying sister in all her glory. "China, can I please come with you?" she pouts, looking at him pleadingly.

I scoff to myself. I honestly hate how she's drooling over his body half the time. Whenever she hangs out with China she would be all so touchy. Grabbing his hair, pulling his shirt, and ripping his pants. It gets on my nerves, but I trust China's in control.

China sighs, shaking his head, "I can't. You have to stay in the palace with your family." His hand reaches and brushes her back as he comforts her.

I want to rip her off of him so bad!

"Росії(Russia's) going," Ukraine states, peering behind to look at me. Of course I'm going. You mean nothing to him. I can't wait for him to break up with her and I can't wait to watch her cry in her room, heartbroken that the first person to take her virginity doesn't feel the same connection she does. I grin at the thought.

Despite this sounding cruel, I don't care. Ukraine is another pawn of our chess game. There's nothing to lose. "It's a boy's night! What do you expect?" Taiwan interrupts, pulling Ukraine off China. I let out a sigh of relief, knowing she's not touching him anymore.

Ukraine scoffs, "have fun." She storms away, not spearing me a glance. I smirk, loving how apparent Taiwan hates her for his own reason. China has told me that he would disturb their time together in any way he can. As their relationship began to take off, Taiwan has been persistent in his annoyance. Ukraine hates him and the feeling is mutual.

Taiwan claims his actions because he defies anyone other than America to date China. It is clear that he is very fond of the country.

I wonder how he'll react if he finds out about me and China. Unlikely. We keep it hidden well.

"I hate her so much! Can't she ever leave you alone?" Taiwan groans in frustration, before whispering, "you clearly don't like her."

China sighs, rubbing his temples. He doesn't deny his hatred towards my sister. She is a pain in the ass. I have to clean up all her mess. "I'll leave her eventually," he mumbles. And I hope it's next week. I want her to be an emotional wreck!
