Scene XXVII
Young Russia POV (Four months later after G.E. and R.E. married. Russia's sick and staying home. Russia and China are in 10th grade along with the rest of the gang. Ukraine, Taiwan[youngest cause he skipped a grade!], and America are in 9th grade.)
"So, to prove this triangle, we need to use the Side-Angle-Angle theorem," Germany explains, pointing at the triangle on my page. I groan in frustration. I don't care about proving triangles. It is something that has three sides and three angles. Who cares about the actual proving of one? It is what it is!
I can't believe how Germany and China love this. The two would be in the library talking nonstop about each Geometry unit we encounter. Germany's a bookworm, while China just likes math.
"Do you get it?" Germany asks, bring my attention back towards him.
I nod, still annoyed. I should've gotten China to teach me instead. I could bear with him here, even though I know he'll get mad at me for not listening half of the time. "What else did I miss?" I huff.
Germany hums, "let's see. You need to remember all the proof theorems, use the pythagorean theorem, and how to find the volume & surface area of different shapes. Relatively easy."
I scoff, "easy for you. I hate math."
"But you're good at it." He chuckles, grabbing a worksheet from his backpack.
I sigh, "give me the answers. My head is spinning." It's not a lie. After getting a cold—which I rarely get because my body is accustomed to the cold weather—I haven't been able to concentrate on most things. It makes my mood worse and I find myself snapping at everyone.
Germany frowns, "I can't. I have an obligation to teach you."
I roll my eyes. He is such a goody-two-shoes. "I should've just got Китай(China)."
Germany pauses. He places his arm on the desk and rests his chin on his fist, smirking. I blink, wondering if I'm hallucinating. No. My step-brother's weird like that. Always wanting to know other people's secrets. "Is there something going on between the two of you? You two seem too close to be just friends." He winks.
I clench my fists, "we are best friends. Nothing more. Besides, he's dating South Korea." He frowns, not liking the answer he receives, but shrugs it off.
"I know you're lying," he whispers, taking a pen from my pencil case, "your secret is safe with me."
I sigh. Although he is my step-brother, I don't trust him with my private life regarding relationships. He is nosy like Japan. Maybe far worse than Japan—something that I have never thought would happen.
Before teaching me whatever math subject, his eye catches onto something in my room. I mentally curse myself when I see it's the plan China and I made. We have so much paper and notes on the wall that it's hard to miss. I forgot to cover it with a dark cloth because I'm mentally and physically too tired to. Now it's here to bite me in the butt.
He quirks his brow, "care to explain?"
I straighten my back, staring at the plans. If I were to tell him, I know he'll keep it a secret. We live under the same roof and I will be at his throat if he tries anything. Additionally, the plan isn't harmful to anyone. "You must keep it a secret. I am trusting you because you are my step-brother." I say sternly, meeting his gaze.
He nods in understanding. "I promise." I scoff when he says that. He told me everyone else's secret so far. Whatever. I'll kill him if he tells someone.
"Китай(China) and I are working with Vietnam so we can encourage a few countries in the human districts to come to UN high school." I say.
His face brightens at the news, "is there a way for me to help? I love the idea of having new faces. Everyone is so old and plain."
