Scene XII
Young America POV
Cling
"是時候醒來了!" Someone screamed. The metallic sound is heard again, making my ears hurt.
I feel myself getting pulled closer to something warm. "走开," someone grumbles. Wait. That's China. That other person must be Taiwan.
Taiwan continues banging the pots and pans together, causing China's anger to grow. Before I let anything get out of hand, I sit up and stare angrily at Taiwan. "We get it. Go away." I grumble.
Taiwan smirks, "等到媽媽聽到這個訊息."
This causes China to jump up, ready to pounce on Taiwan. "回到這裡!" He yells, but Taiwan already left and slammed the door. China grumbles in annoyance.
I pat his back, hoping it will calm him down, "China, it's okay."
He rests his head on my shoulder and then pushes me a on the bed again, snuggling up to me. "Is it alright if we sleep a little more?" China asks.
I smile, "sure. Taiwan interrupted my beauty rest."
China chuckles, kissing my cheek. "I love you."
"I love you too—"
The door slams open again and in comes China's mom. She gasps in surprise when she sees us. I grab the covers and pull it over our heads, embarrassed she saw us like this. China hugs me protectively, mumbling, what I believe to be, Chinese curses.
The covers fly off, exposing us to the cold air. "你在干什么?" China snaps, glaring at his mom.
She slaps his rear, causing him to hiss in pain. "My son is cheating on you with someone else." China's mom explains as she pulls China off the bed and onto the ground. "I don't want him to manipulate you. You're such a young country. You need independence." She sighs, looking at me worriedly.
I sit up, nodding my head slowly. "I know and he won't manipulate me." She stares at me hopelessly, thinking that I've already been brainwashed by China.
China gets up from the ground, "I have liked her since the first time I saw her. It is a miracle she liked me back." China mumbles, looking at the ground sheepishly. "He knows," China points at Taiwan who's eating popcorn.
"是么?" China's mom asks Taiwan. He nods his head as he stuffs his face with more popcorn. China's mom sighs, "if you break her heart, I know you're lying." With that, China's mom leaves with Taiwan trailing her.
China grumbles, sitting down on the bed next to me. "I'm sorry about them."
"It's alright! Your mom cares about you," I smile.
China smiles softly, hugging me, "I love you. I don't want you to ever leave me."
"I love you too."
...(3 days later; after school)...
I'm late. I'm late. I'm late. I'm late to my astrology club! I rush up the stairs, carrying my poster that's tucked under my arm. My club is on the fifth floor and I'm only on the second so far. How did I forget about this club? I love space so much! Stupid me.
If Canada knew about this he would lecture me for a whole hour for how I'm so unorganized. Then he would find something in my room and complain about it. Then he would complain to me when I ask him how his day was because he thinks that I want to get into his personal life. Lastly, he will tell me that we're strangers and not siblings before he exits my room. He's just like Father. A literal clone of him to be exact. Always complaining that I did something wrong and they are in the right. When did it become that I was their scapegoat? Why not Confederate? Canada respects her so much!
