"He can't get through all those bins, right? I mean, they are filled with shit-"

"Danielle, shut up. We have a real situation on our hands."

At this point we were all standing up, holding our baseball bats and badminton rackets.
I was clutching mine tightly, and Liam's hugs didn't help.

Tyler was ramming something into the door, and each blow was opening the doors slowly.
Sadly, they didn't have a lock. And plus, the lock would be busted by now.

"Shit!" I exclaim, stepping back. There was another loud bang, and I drop my bat to cover my ears. Immeaditaly, Liam wraps me in an emotional support hug.
I sob and sniffle into his shoulder for a second, then pick my bat up again.

Then, before I know it, the doors swoosh open.
Tyler is standing there, with a desk in front of him, the side closest to us dented.
A desk. Could open the doors? Really?

I grip my bat and Liam steps in front of me. Calum, draped over Max's shoulders, lets out a grunt. Tyler smirks.

"Ah, cutie. Was this your plan?"
"Shut up!" Liam hollers.
"I swear, I meant to get rid of you first."

Then, Tyler raised his gun.

"Duck!"
Liam and I both ducked down, and Tyler's fire missed anyway.
Danielle and Xander rushed forward, holding Tyler back and trying to wrestle the gun out of his hands.
Tyler wipped out his knife and sent it flying up Danielle's arm. She barely dodged it, but it skimmed her gently. Only a bit of blood came out.
Danielle was pushed off from the suddeness, and Tyler leaped on Xander.
I ran forward, but Liam was already two steps infront of me.
He grabbed Tyler's shoulders from behind, wrenching with him.

I ushered for Max to get Calum out, and to take Danielle with him. I couldn't watch another person get hurt. Sukaina was right behind me, and I told her to go with them.
She stood in place.

"Sukaina. Go follow them. Me and Liam got this. We'll meet you."
Sukaina shook her head. "No."
"What?"
"I'm not leaving you."

Liam grunted from afar, and I turned to look Sukaina in the eyes.

"Listen. I can't live with myself if something happens to you. I promised I wouldn't let anything touch you. Go. Now."

"I'm not leaving you're side."

I grumbled, placing a hand on her shoulder.
"Wait here."

With that, I whirled around on my heel and leaped at the three boys. Tyler saw me, his jaw dropping, and stepped back to avoid me. Wrapping my arms around his neck, I yanked back and he fell into my chest. I threw him off me, his gun and knife falling to the ground. Xander had fallen next to Tyler, and Liam was standing next to me, trying to get Xander to his feet.

Without thinking, I grabbed Tyler's gun and reloaded it.
Liam grabbed my arm sharply, and Sukaina gasped from afar.
I shook Liam off.

This was a moment I could finally get back at him.
I could avenge Makoy.
I could save all of us.
With one. Single. Bullet.

"Jacks! Stop it!"

I shoved Liam back and he fell onto the ground. I looked back at him with a tear in my eye.

"You said. You said we would kill him. You said we could avenge Makoy!"

"Not like this! Jacks! Listen to me!"

I could barely see Liam's handsome face through the haze of my tears.
Tyler shifted at my feet. My head racing with thoughts.

"Ah, I see how this is going to end."
Tyler looked up at me, smirking.

"Alrighty then, lets get this over with. Shoot me, cutie."

My throat went raw.
"Shut up. You're gonna pay for what you did. For what you did to me, Makoy, to all of us. He deserves to be avenged."
Tyler only smirked at me again.
"Oh cutie, surely you don't wanna listen to your little boyfriend?"
My fists tightened around the handle of the gun.
"Shut up. You have no right to speak about him like that."

Tyler chuckled. A meancing chuckle.

"I see how this is going to end."

My brain couldn't fully register it, but Tyler suddenly sat up and plunged his knife deep into Xander's arm.
Xander screamed, full voice, and fell back limp.

"Xander!" I shrieked.

Without hesitating, I brought the tip of the gun to the side of my forehead.

"No!" Everyone screamed at once.

Liam jumped on me from behind, wriggling the gun out of my grasp and throwing it across the room.
Sukaina grabbed my arms, and the two pulled me back from a helpless Xander.

"No! Stop!" I hollared, my words muffled from my tears. "Let me go!"

Tyler has risen to his feet, and he dashed for the gun.
Bringing my elbow back, I elbowed Liam in the stomach. He kept a firm grip and shifted me, his hands never leaving my arms.

"Don't let him get away!" I roared.

But Tyler was already out of the gym.
Xander was left helplessly, twitching on the ground.
The two dropped me and Sukaina ran to Xander, grabbing the kit of supplies from the pile we had.

I felt my feet dart away from Liam, but he grabbed my arm firmly. He spun me around to look at his face, his eyes glittering with sadness. Sadness for me?

"Why would you do that?" I spat. "I had him!"

Liam grabbed my shoulder with his free hand. He didn't say anything. I proceeded to go on with rage.

"Didn't you want him to pay? He killed Makoy! Makoy was your best friend! You said we could kill him! You-"

Then, I noticed Liam's face. My face was hot with tears, and Liam had a single teardrop falling from his cheek.

"He killed him. He deserves to pay." I whisper through sobs and sniffles.

"Not that way, Jacks."

With that, Liam sharply pulled me forward and into the tightest hug I've ever been in.
I didn't resist.
Bowing my head to his shoulder, I felt his shirt go damp with my tears. His arms only tightened around my back as I sobbed.
In that moment, I didn't want him to let go. And I bet he didn't want to let go, either.

I heard footsteps pattering back into the gym, and then muffled voices.
"Help him get up!"
"Jacks!"

I raised my head off Liam's shoulder so I could see what was happening. Calum had detached off Max's back, and was slowly limping over to us. I saw him grit his teeth through the remaining pain.
Danielle was helping a very dazed looking Xander to his feet. Sukaina and Max were short behind Calum, jogging to us.

"What happened?" Max whispered.
I gave a soft smile and nestled myself back into Liam's shoulder.
I felt Calum's warm arms around me, the blood on his leg squishing as it pressed against my leg.
Max joined in the hug, and so did Sukaina. I also felt Danielle and Xander.

We sat there for a hot moment, basking in the embrace.

"Well." Max whispered. "I had an idea."

We all looked up at Max, something sparkling in his eyes.

"We ambush Tyler, lock him up somewhere, and then find a way to escape this place for good."
