Beneath the Weight of Love

We built a house of words and dreams,
But love—so heavy—split the seams.
The cracks ran deep, like silent cries,
Beneath the weight, we broke in lies.

I kissed your shadow more than skin,
Felt your absence creep within.
We danced in circles, pulled apart,
Your silence pierced my fragile heart.

The nights we burned, the days we froze,In whispers, love became our ghost.I reached for you in every storm,But all I touched was something worn.

How did we drift so far, so fast,
To speak of futures lost in past?
The words unsaid, the tears unspilled,
The love we had, the love we killed.

Now pain sits heavy, like a stone,

In rooms we once called our own.

I ache for peace, yet cling to strife,

For love, my love, is bound to life.
