A Truth Unveiled

I've walked in shadows, hid from light,
Fearing whispers in the night.
A heart that loved but dared not say,
Afraid of how they'd look my way.

I wore their words like heavy chains,
Felt the sting of silent pains.
But in the quiet, deep inside,
A flame refused to dim or hide.

The mirror's gaze, a fleeting glance—
Was this my truth, or just a chance?
Could I be proud of who I am,
Or must I live beneath a sham?

Yet love, I found, was fierce and true,
It broke the lies, it broke me through.
For love is love, no need to flee—
A simple, sacred, bold decree.

Now here I stand, no longer small,
I've found my voice, I've heard the call.
To live as I was born to be,
Unchained, unbound, and truly free.

The world may bend, but I'll stand tall,
For in my love, I've found it all.
No shame, no fear, no hiding place—
Just pride, and joy, and endless grace.
