On the other hand, Stella and Jin met up at their usual café, both with curious expressions, both looking like they were up to no good.
“Okay, so spill,” Stella said, leaning over the table with a grin. “Do you know that Ragini was totally MIA this weekend? Like, she just vanished.”
Jin raised an eyebrow, sipping his coffee. “Oh, trust me, I noticed. I texted Jungkook, like, twice. Zero replies. What about you and Ragini?”
Stella rolled her eyes dramatically. “Same! I called, texted, even sent a meme—nothing! It’s like they both fell off the planet. Suspicious, right?”
Jin chuckled. “Oh, super suspicious. You think they were together?”
Stella’s grin widened. “Come on, it’s too much of a coincidence! Both of them ghosting us at the same time? Something’s definitely up.”
Jin smirked, leaning back in his chair. “So, you’re saying they were off... together, huh? Interesting.”
Stella tapped her fingers on the table, laughing. “I’m not saying it, but, like... I’m totally saying it.”
Jin gave her a knowing look. “Think they’re hiding it from us?”
Stella shrugged with a playful glint in her eye. “Probably. But, oh man, they’ve got another thing coming if they think they can sneak one past me. I’ll get to the bottom of this.”
Jin laughed. “Good luck with that, detective. If they’re hiding something, I bet they’ve got it on lock.”
Stella leaned back, grinning. “Challenge accepted. I’m definitely not letting this go.”
Jin nodded, just as determined. "Yep, this time, we’re cracking it. No more 'coincidences' or disappearing acts."
Stella tapped her chin, her eyes gleaming. "I’ve got a plan. We casually ask Ragini and Jungkook about their weekends. You know, play it cool. But keep pressing for details."
Jin smirked. "Right, casually. And by casually, you mean grilling them until they slip."
Stella chuckled. "Exactly! One of them is bound to crack. I mean, there’s no way they can both dodge us forever."
Jin leaned in, lowering his voice like they were secret agents. "What if we try a different approach? Pretend we already know something and see if they freak out."
Stella’s eyes lit up. "Ooooh, I like it. They’ll totally give themselves away."
Jin sat back, grinning. "Let’s go. This secret’s not staying hidden for long."
Stella raised her coffee cup like she was toasting. "To unraveling the truth!"
Jin clinked his cup against hers. "To uncovering their little mystery."
Both of them shared a knowing look, determined to finally uncover the secret they knew was hiding just beneath the surface. Today, they weren’t going to let Jungkook and Ragini get away with it.
On Monday at the office, Stella and Ragini were catching up during a quick break. Stella, ever the curious friend, couldn’t resist probing into the weekend.
“So, babe, what did you get up to this weekend? You were off the grid!” Stella asked with a mischievous grin.
Ragini shrugged nonchalantly. “Oh, nothing much. Just needed some me-time.”
Stella leaned closer, her eyes narrowing playfully. “Really now? Because I heard you were MIA with Jungkook. What’s the deal? Did you two have a secret getaway?”
