Ragini woke up to a dull ache in her head, blinking against the harsh morning light filtering into her bedroom. As she shifted beneath the covers, a sudden awareness hit her—Jungkook was lying beside her, fully clothed, but clearly having stayed the night. Her heart skipped a beat as flashes from the previous night flooded her mind—karaoke, Taehyung dropping her off, her drunken clinginess, and how she practically begged Jungkook to stay.
She groaned internally, biting her lip in embarrassment.
Turning her head slowly, she found him already awake, his intense eyes fixed on her. He didn’t say anything at first, just watched her with a subtle smirk tugging at his lips. That smirk—she recognized it, the one he always had when he knew he had the upper hand.
“Morning,” Ragini croaked, her voice hoarse, the embarrassment palpable in her tone.
“Morning, sweetheart,” Jungkook replied, his voice teasing yet possessive. He shifted slightly on the bed, his arm draped over the pillow next to hers, inching closer.“How’s the hangover?”
Ragini let out a small groan, covering her face with her hands. “Don’t remind me,” she muttered through her fingers, “Did I... do anything stupid last night?”
Jungkook chuckled softly, and the sound sent a shiver through her. He reached over, pulling her hands away from her face, his grip gentle but firm. “Define stupid,” he teased, eyes twinkling with mischief.
She could feel her cheeks heating up as she struggled to remember just how far her boldness had gone. “I didn’t, like... do anything weird, did I?” she asked hesitantly, her voice almost a whisper.
“Oh, you were very bold,” Jungkook said, his eyes darkening slightly as he moved closer. “Kept asking me to stay. Practically begged me to sleep next to you. Even asked me to carry you to bed.”
Ragini let out an embarrassed groan, burying her face into the pillow. “I’m so sorry,” she mumbled, her voice muffled. “I was so drunk.”
Jungkook’s laughter was quiet but dangerous, the sound laced with a possessiveness she could feel. “Don’t apologize,” he said softly, his fingers brushing a strand of hair away from her face. “I liked seeing that side of you... all clingy and wanting me so badly.”
She peeked out from the pillow, her heart racing. “I didn’t— I mean, I didn’t mean to be... that clingy.”
Jungkook raised an eyebrow, his smirk widening. “Oh, sweetheart, you were practically wrapped around me. Kept asking me to cuddle with you.”
Her face burned with mortification, and she sat up quickly, brushing her messy hair back. “Okay, stop. I get it. I was drunk,” she said, trying to laugh it off, but the weight of his gaze made it hard to ignore the tension in the air.
Jungkook’s gaze darkened as he gently but firmly pulled her closer, his arm sliding around her waist. Ragini’s breath hitched as she found herself pressed against his chest, her hands instinctively resting on his shoulders. The warmth radiating from his body mixed with the intensity in his eyes sent a rush of heat through her, making her pulse quicken.
“I mean it, sweetheart,” he murmured, his voice low and possessive, as if he needed to make sure she understood. His thumb brushed along her side in slow circles, sending tingles across her skin. “You’re mine.”
Ragini’s heart pounded in her chest as she stared up at him, her body responding to the closeness despite the nervous energy swirling inside her. His words were possessive, almost overwhelming, but there was no denying the pull she felt toward him.She tried to gather her thoughts, her voice coming out softer than she intended.
