After days of enduring Sohee's subtle jabs and fake sweetness, Ragini could no longer suppress the frustration bubbling beneath the surface. Sohee was relentless, and though she hadn't outright insulted Ragini, her intentions were crystal clear. The final straw came one afternoon during a meeting for Jungkook’s upcoming music video collaboration with Sohee.

Ragini had managed to keep her composure, but Sohee was pushing all the wrong buttons. For days, she had watched Sohee hover around Jungkook, dropping sweet comments, laughing at his every word, and brushing against him just a little too often. And today, it seemed worse than usual.

During a meeting to finalize the concept for the music video, Sohee kept leaning into Jungkook, her sugary voice filling the room. “Jungkook, I just love your vision for this project,” she said, flashing him a smile that made Ragini’s blood boil. “It’s going to be so intimate… so special.”

Ragini was at the back of the room, biting the inside of her cheek to keep herself from reacting. She didn’t want to show anyone how much this was getting to her, especially not in front of the team. Her eyes flicked to Jungkook, hoping he’d draw some sort of line, but he simply nodded, seemingly oblivious to Sohee’s advances.

As the meeting wrapped up, Sohee took it a step further. “Jungkook,” she said in a soft tone, touching his arm lightly, “maybe we could go over some details privately later? I’d love to hear more about your ideas one-on-one.”

Ragini’s heart clenched. Privately? She felt her fingers twitch, gripping her notebook a little too tightly. The jealousy was eating her alive, but she swallowed it down, refusing to let Sohee see her reaction.

“Let’s see,” Jungkook replied casually, not committing to the suggestion but also not shutting it down. Sohee smiled, looking pleased with herself, while Ragini seethed quietly in her seat.

After everyone else left the room, Sohee lingered, pretending to pack up her things slowly. She turned to Jungkook again. “You’re always so busy. I don’t know how you do it,” she said sweetly. “I just hope I’m not taking up too much of your time.”

Ragini stood at the door, pretending to be occupied with some papers, but her ears were burning. She felt like screaming, but instead, she stiffened, forcing herself to stay composed.

Jungkook gave a polite smile, clearly not noticing the subtext of Sohee’s words. “I’m managing fine, Sohee. Don’t worry.”

Sohee cast a glance at Ragini, who was trying hard to look indifferent. But there was something sharp in Sohee’s eyes, as if she knew exactly what she was doing. “You’re so lucky to have such a dedicated team, Jungkook,” Sohee said, her gaze briefly flickering over to Ragini with a smirk. “Everyone seems really… invested in you.”

Ragini could feel her pulse pounding in her ears. She wanted to snap back at Sohee, but she couldn’t risk blowing up in front of Jungkook or the rest of the staff. She had to keep up the appearance of professionalism.

Sohee finally left, but the damage was done. Ragini’s jealousy had reached its peak, and it was threatening to spill over.

When Jungkook turned to her, sensing something was wrong, she couldn’t hold it in anymore. As soon as they were alone in his office, Ragini let out a sharp breath, her frustration boiling over.

“Kook,” she started, her voice shaking with barely contained anger. “Are you seriously not seeing what she’s doing?”

Jungkook looked at her, slightly confused. “What do you mean?”

Ragini threw her hands up, pacing the room. “Sohee! She’s been all over you for days, and you’re acting like it’s nothing!”

Jungkook frowned, stepping toward her. “Sweetheart, you’re overthinking this. She’s just being friendly.”
