"Dad, I have looked everywhere for her,  for the last month myself and the super squad have been looking,  every inch of the woods and there's no sign of her.  We have to ring the Mikaelson's and get them to help us track her." Lizzie pleads with her father.

"Lizzie, I know you're feeling upset about this...."

"Dad, I am not just upset,  for her to not come to the funeral,  for no one to see or hear from her in over a month.  There is something is wrong, can't you see that!   We have to do everything we can to find her."

"I just don't think involving the Mikaelson's will be a good thing for Salvatore Lizzie."

"You mean you don't think it'll be good for you involving the Mikaelson's, they should have been told much earlier,  it's their niece for god sake.  Freya is the best witch around,  she can find her,   I know it."

"Now come on that's not fair Lizzie,  she's probably just left Mystic Falls,  to get over everything."

Lizzie looks at her father in astonishment,  "You can't be serious!, Hope would never leave without saying anything,  especially to me or to her family.  You're delusional if you think otherwise.  Dad I have just lost my sister,  I'll be damned if I lose my best friend too.

"If Josie was here right now dad,  she would be looking everywhere for her,  there is no way she would give up on Hope.  And neither will I, so you can either ring the Mikaelson's yourself,  or I will. You don't have any  other option."

Alaric sighs,  he really doesn't want to make this call,  deep down he knows everything Lizzie is saying is true.  They should've been searching straight away and involved whatever and whoever's help is necessary.

Hope can feel her body ravaging itself,  desperate to feed but unable to break away from the shackles to find blood.  That instinctual, natural need to feed consuming her mind and body.  She's trying to block it away,  deep down.  This is her only way to rid herself of her pain.  She knows  there isn't much more time before she desiccates and she will drift off to sleep,  away from her cruel reality. Over the last week with the desiccation process starting, its been hell for her.  Not only physically but with it,  came a wave of memories. All painful,  of course....  this is the story of her life after all.

She never wanted to become the tribrid,  but it was her fate, she knew she was the only one that could defeat Malivore,  but her hesitancy and dread was knowing that with becoming the tribrid she would be immortal and every human she loved and cared about would die, vanishing from her life forever,  while she has to  carry on. Her life has been nothing but pain so why would she ever want to live forever like that.

She thinks about Alaric knowing about the red oak weapon and not telling her,  she knows he was right though,  if she had access to it she would have taken her own life,  after Landon,  if not for him definitely after Josie passed.  But then all she can think about is Josie,  being killed by Aurora,  a Mikaelson enemy,  Hope cries when she thinks of her standing there being stabbed,  dying, with absolutely no help around her. No Hope to save her.   Josie should never have died,  especially protecting her.

She's had nightmares,  seeing Josie lying on the floor bleeding,  her life fading away,  her eyes open, those eyes,  once so alert and caring, now devoid of any life, just vacant, those eyes staring directly at Hope in her nightmare.  She knows Aurora would've been standing there praising herself on the conquest of getting the only weapon to kill the tribrid, no matter who she had to kill in the process. Hope knows if it came down to her death or Josie's she would throw herself in front of any weapon,  any monster,  anything that could possibly hurt Josie in any way.
