"You have to listen to me Lizzie. I know who killed Jo and who has the red oak sword."

Lizzie looks straight at her in surprise. "How could you possibly know that. None of us knows who did it."

"This is where I want you to listen and believe me, I know this is going to sound impossible and that I'm crazy, but honestly Lizzie what I'm about to say is true." She exhales and takes Lizzie's hands into hers. "Jo told me."

Lizzie snatches her hands back suddenly "What are you saying, she's dead, how could she....... you must be fever ridden Hope. Josie is dead and she's never coming back." Lizzie is trying to hold back tears.

"I know it's hard to believe, it doesn't make sense, but remember we're all supernatural, none of us make sense to the outside world, so we shouldn't be surprised at what can happen."

Hope can see Lizzie's brain ticking over processing what she's been told. Battling between disbelief and desperately wanting for it to be true.

"Josie has been visiting me, the first time was after I awoke from desiccation. She's also been visiting you, making sure you're ok."

Lizzie snaps her head quickly back to Hope, "She's been with me?" she repeats. "yes Lizzie. The only difference is I can hear her. Do you remember the talisman I gave her when you both turned 16? That necklace makes quiet things heard, and somehow, someway because of it she can communicate with me."

Lizzie stands up and starts pacing. Memories flashing quickly through her mind. "The night we brought you back to Salvatore, I felt like something was near me, I felt warmth and familiarity, I also felt comfort." she looks at Hope with wonder in her eyes.

"That was Jo, Lizzie, she told me she was trying to comfort you while I was unconscious."

Lizzie sees the honesty in Hope's eyes, no matter what's happened in the past between them she knows she can trust hope implicitly. "Oh my god. Is she ok?"

"She is, but she's concerned for the both of us. She's in between at the moment, in limbo, she doesn't want to go through to peace until she knows we're both ok."

Lizzie starts crying. She feels bad for her sister. "She must be so lonely."

"She told me your biological mother is with her, she will take her through to peace when she's ready. It started off she could only stay in our world briefly but the more she does it, the longer she has been able to stay."

Lizzie is hanging on to everything Hope is saying, "she met our mom? I'm so happy for her. She always had a hole in her heart because we lost her without even knowing her. That's truly amazing."

"Yes, it is. And Josie is the reason is I know who killed her Lizzie, it was Penelope, working for Aurora De Martel."

The calm look Lizzie had a second ago has vanished and only fury is now visible. "Penelope killed my sister."

"Yes."

"Who is this Aurora?"

"She used to be one of my father's lovers but he killed and tortured her brother, so as she can no longer get revenge on my father she thought she'd bestow it on to me instead." Hope looks down at the floor slightly embarrassed having to tell Lizzie about her father's escapades.

"She wanted the red oak, to kill you?"

"Yes, and she has it." She continues, "I always remember my father talking about a psychotic 1000 year old vampire, pint sized and red haired, a fire cracker, he used to call her."

A chill runs down Lizzie's spine, "Oh my god, that's what the lady looks like doing the board inspection. Do you think it could be her?"

With a look of shock on her face Hope says, "I'd bet my life on it Lizzie. We have to get them out of there." Hope stands up too quickly and stumbles, Lizzie catching her. "You're in no shape todo anything right now, let's just sleep here tonight, let you rest and we'll take care of them in the morning."
