"Hope! Hope!" Josie starts to spiral, not being able to reach through.

"Josie please come and sit down, you may just need a rest." Josette her bio mom suggests beckoning her to the sofa in the afterlife copy of the Salvatore living room.

"You don't understand, before I could see her, over the last few days when I've used the talisman, I could see her, be near her, I just couldn't communicate. But now there's just nothing." Josie starts sobbing, she's had such a traumatic few weeks. Getting murdered, her funeral, seeing in first hand what all this has done to Hope.

"I've got to keep trying."

"Josie please, come and sit down and try again later, any number of things could be causing blocking you getting through.

"You don't understand she repeats, I can see Lizzie, all my friends, my dad but when I try to see Hope all there is, is darkness." She roughly sits down on the chair next to her mom. Josette can see her daughters body shaking, trembling. She holds her hand and tries to comfort her.

"Just try again later, she may not be ready to see you"

Josie thinks about that last comment, she's not going to argue with her mother but she thinks that was such a stupid thing to say. How can Hope not be ready to see her when she doesn't know she can. Josie was watching her at the funeral with no problem. Her body aches thinking about the reason her connection could've ended. She knows what ever has happened is not good. And she has to find out what itis.

"Fine, I'll rest for a bit but then I'll try again."

"That's fine Josie, Why don't you fill me in on what's been happening in your life since I've been gone?"

The guilt at this moment hits Josie like a Mac Truck, she has been given this amazing opportunity of meeting and talking to her biological mother, that she's never known,, who died while pregnant with her and Lizzie and all she can think about is Hope. She tries to fill her mother in on the years leading up to the last months, she tries to block out her worry, an impossible task.

Freya Mikaelson drives through the gates of the Salvatore school. Her fingers so tight around the steering wheel her hands have turned white. She is pissed. The last time she had heard from Alaric, besides his call yesterday, it was to say Hope had returned there safely after her humanity came back. He had told her she was fine, that her life had turned back to normal and there was absolutely nothing for her or any of the Mikaelson's to worry about. How dishonest he had been.

Freya had seen through these lies and after finding out how Josie died and Hope vanishing she had rung Lizzie. She knew how close to Hope Lizzie is and she knew she'd tell her the truth.. She felt sick as Lizzie filled her in on what happened to Josie, being killed while protecting the red oak sword that not only Hope but none of the Mikaelson's had any idea ever existed. Her stomach churns when she finds out there has been a weapon that could kill the unkillable tribrid and Alaric knew and never told her family anything about it. And now that sword is out in the world somewhere, with someone who hated the Mikaelson's so much they would kill an innocent witch, just because her father had stupidly sent it to her to keep hidden.

Lizzie had felt there was no reason to hold back at all. She told Freya she and Hope's core friends, they affectionately call the super squad have been out looking for her every day since realising she wasn't coming back.. She told Freya something must be wrong, for she would never leave without saying goodbye. Freya's temper soared when Lizzie had said her father hadn't lifted a finger to help them.

And this is why she sits In her car trying to calm herself enough not to scare the whole school when she enters. She does compose herself and makes her way through the entrance doors. She looks around and sees lots of activity, students everywhere, moving between classes. Cleaners and staff actively doing what they are paid to do. She's been here before so she knows her way, and she focusses solely on the office she will be going to.
