"She what?!" Haerin's voice pierced through the bedroom. Turns out the reason why Heesung hated Minji was because he was her ex and she cheated on him. Minji to Haerin did not seem like the type of person to do that, she too quiet and mysterious. Hyein quickly shushing her as she laughed awkwardly. "Keep your volume down! Did you forget that there's still a party going on?!" Hyein replied, putting her hands on Haerin's shoulders. Haerin pouted cutely in which Hyein grimaced in disgust.

Removing her hands from Haerin's shoulders, she rested them on the bed before raising her hand curled into a fist with only her pinky finger out. "Promise not to tell anyone. If you do, not only Minji will get in trouble, but me too," Hyein whispered, staring at Haerin seriously. "Besides, I don't even know if it's true or not," Hyein added, smiling from ear to ear. Hearing that, Haerin's expression formed into one of disappointment, shaking her head at Hyein.

Just when Haerin let out a sigh, the door to their room busted open, revealing Heesung. He looked hesitant as he held onto the door knob. His gaze searching the room before it landed on Haerin.

"Sorry I didn't knock. Anyways, Haerin. Ni-ki wants to see you. He says he's going to say some quick words to you but I'm not convinced. Enough talking, let's go," Heesung said, pointing his finger at Haerin and moving it back and forth.

Haerin, seeing this, huffed out a disappointed sigh. Guess no more talking with Hyein. Getting up as she waved a goodbye to Hyein, who in return, wiggled her eyebrows at her. Making Haerin roll her eyes out of instinct. Soon the door blocked Haerin's view of Hyein as it closed shut. Heesung spared Haerin a glance before leading the way to Ni-ki's room.

The walk to Ni-ki's room was unusually quiet. Normally, Heesung would strike up a conversation but now it was dead silent. The only thing Haerin could hear was the combination of their breathing. Something tells Haerin that Ni-ki wants to do more than just 'quick words'. What if they... Haerin no, not cool.

Finally, the both of them reached Ni-ki's room. Haerin watched as Heesung knocked on the door and his head turning to face Haerin. Haerin felt Heesung's hand pat her back, as if he noticed how tensed up she was. Slowly, Haerin's shoulders relaxed to the feeling of Heesung's pats. Come on Ni-ki, we just got married a few hours ago. Do not mess up this relationship.

The door to Ni-ki's room opened, revealing Ni-ki... Obviously. A smile crept up his face as he looked at Haerin. "Oh my sweet baby Haerin!" Ni-ki said, his hands wrapping around Haerin shoulders. Haerin furrowed her eyebrows upon seeing that Ni-ki would not even acknowledge her own bodyguard's existence, she would have scoffed by now but she had to be nice.

Truth is, Haerin never liked Ni-ki. She thought that Ni-ki was an attention seeker, who would do anything for popularity. She hated it. She hated how she was just forced to be married to him from her families reputation. She hated everything about him.

When Ni-ki hugged Haerin, she swallowed in her own gag. Does this man ever bathe? The odor was terrible, the stench could be smelt from a mile away. With a fake smile, she replied. "Hey Ni-ki..." Haerin turned away from Ni-ki. Trying her best not to break out of his grasp and run away. Looking at Heesung and raising an eyebrow, signalling to him that she needed help.

Knowing what Haerin wanted, Heesung cleared his throat. Smiling politely at Ni-ki. "Well then, I'll leave you both to do your own thing," Heesung said with a believable kind tone. Haerin's expression dropped, now filled with dread. She wanted to reach out and call Heesung to come back, but he was already walking away. Haerin scowled at Ni-ki. Luckily it went unnoticed.

Great. Now she is stuck with... Him.

Hello, sorry that I haven't been updating and that this chapter is quite short. I've just been procrastinating. Exams are getting closer now 😟 but it's alright. Once my exams are finished, I can finally focus more on this story than on my studies. Bye bye.
