"So, how did you find the cat?"
A shrug came from Minji.
"Oh, just by pure luck."
A lie.
Great, what did Minji get herself into. Now here she was, sitting on her bed with the Kang Haerin sitting next to her. Or more specifically, sitting on the same bed as her just a few centimeters away from her.
Obviously, she can not forget about the cat sitting on Haerin's lap.
If she did, she would have gotten mauled by it. Honestly, how did they not get caught with that cat continuously hissing at her?
"Hiss!"
A finger was placed on the cat's mouth, a motion for it to quiet down.
"That cat needs to learn how to shut up before we get caught."
"You're just being rude, she's usually not like this. Is anyone even in this place?"
"Yeah sure... Oh and no."
A sigh was heard from the shorter girl.
"You're lucky I have a cat in my hands."
Anyways, back to Minji. Lying down on her comfortable bed with headphones on that was playing nothing, Minji likes the comfortable silence.
Minji heard Haerin hum in response to her answer, turning her head over to face Haerin and removed her headphones.
Taking in the view of the shorter girl's side profile. Admiring how the girl seemed to look so effortlessly pretty.
Minji, no, you are better than that.
"You're staring."
Minji flinched, her eyes moving downwards to Haerin's lap. Staring at the cat instead of the feline eyes girl.
It was better to stare at anything else but Haerin right now, it was the safer option.
"Nah, just staring at the cat. You're being delusional... Oh look! The cat's drooling... Haha."
Minji laughed to herself, one hand gripping the sheets below er as the other made it's way up to point at Haerin's lap.
Why is she acting like this towards Haerin? She needs the mask that she wore on the day of the party again, she only gets the confidence to act bold when her face is covered, especially online. Judging from previous experiences.
Her gaze fixated on the sitting girl. Seeing how her eyebrows was furrowed, a clear way of knowing that whatever Minji had told Haerin was unbelievable.
But it seems like she was let off the hook.
Minji smiled softly at that, she was glad she found someone that prefers not to pressure someone to get their answers.
Minji's comment made Haerin look down.
Now Minji was ready to hear a scream or whatever.
But instead, she heard a chuckle coming from the one and only Haerin.
"There's nothing there, Minji. Are you alright? Did you hit your head too hard?"
A hand made it's way over to Minji's forehead, caressing the red bump that so happened to appear after Minji had bumped into the metal gate. Feeling how a comfortable warmth made its way over Minji's forehead. The pain from the red bump slowly loosing it's intensity.
Thump...
Thump...
Minji's eyes widened. She gripped onto her shirt, the way her name rolled off Haerin's tongue so naturally, the way Haerin's hand felt on her skin. It felt weird. Minji loved it.
