(Hyein pov)
I sighed, looking at the clock. Time ticking away but Haerin still has not returned. I miss her. I looked around the room and searched for something I could do to clear up my bordem. Nothing. I fell back on the bed, kicking my feet and hitting my hands against the mattress. "Oh my days! When is she coming back!" I shouted loudly. Staring up at the ceiling, I wondered how 'The Kim's' are doing. Probably amazing, as always.
I turned over on my side, deciding to listen out to the soft muffled sounds coming from the 'formal party' going on. It is no longer even formal anymore, everyone practically forgot the etiquette of being in a formal party and acting like it is a college party now! However, instead of hearing music coming from three floors below. I heard soft cries coming from next door. Is someone listening to sad music or what.
That was when something clicked in my head. My eyes widened as I thought. Ni-ki. Ni-ki's room is nextdoor. "No... No, no! Haerin! I'm coming to save you!" I screamed. Jumping from the bed and rushing over to Ni-ki's room.
(Third person pov (Haerin))
"Oh come on, get up..." Haerin spoke softly. Her hands moved down to Ni-ki's back to pat it as she stared down at the kneeling figure of Ni-ki clinging to her leg. Feeling his tears rolling down her leg. A frown was displayed on her face. How did this even happen? She pondered.
"Please, Haerin! Don't leave me! They aren't worth it!" Ni-ki begged, clinging onto Haerin's leg with a tighter embrace. Haerin let out an exasperated sigh, going on one knee and grabbed onto Ni-ki's shoulders to pull him away. She stared at him with confusion as she recalled in what she did.
Haerin frowned as she smelled the awful stench coming from Ni-ki. His room was in a mess. Posters of famous women on the ground, his clothes was everywhere, and there was a faint smell of a mixture of sweat and bleach in the room.
She felt her goosebumps rise as Ni-ki held onto her hand and led her to his bed. Closing the door behind him.
Once Haerin settled on the bed, she felt that it was very stiff compared to her own. There were small wet stains on the bed, making Haerin think the worse. "Do you perhaps... Nevermind" Haerin asked, hesitating before deciding to not continue what she wanted to ask. At least it explains the ripped poster of a woman on his bed. How loyal.
Ni-ki sat on the bed next to Haerin. Haerin tensed up, moving to the edge of the bed. Her face grimacing in disgust as she realized she had sat on a wet stain. "Why is it sticky..." Haerin mumbled to herself, scared.
"Sooo... About the thing I want to talk about. I thought that since we are married already. How about me and you, we have some alone time," Ni-ki questioned, raising his eyebrows up and down at Haerin. Tracing Haerin's hand with his index finger. It was as if she had to agree.
"No," Haerin said dryly as she shook her head. Caught of guard, Ni-ki paused his movements.
"Come on Haerin! It will be fun!" Ni-ki pleaded, nudging Haerin's arm with his shoulder. Trying his best to make Haerin say yes, he made a puppy expression. Not something that would fit him of course.
Haerin in return shook her head once again. "How about we talk about something else. Like..." Haerin paused, she had to think of something quick. She glanced at Ni-ki, he was waiting for her to say something. "Uh... The Kim's!" Haerin added in a panic. Ni-ki's smile drooped down. Oh no.
"Ni-ki, what are you talking about... All I did was mention The Kim's. Stop overreacting," Haerin said, her voice full with irritation. She moved her leg away from Ni-ki before he lunged forward to grasp on her leg again. Causing Haerin to roll her eyes.
Suddenly, the door busted open. Revealing Hyein's sweaty face. Haerin chuckled, but quickly stopped as she felt Ni-ki grip onto her leg tighter.
"Haerin! I heard crying... What happened?" Hyein shout morphed into one of confusion. Fixing up her hair as she stared at Ni-ki, then stared at Haerin. Who was staring at her as if she wanted her to help.
"Oh... Nevermind. Have fun!" Hyein taunted Haerin as she smiled Innocently. Leaving the room as fast as she had entered it minutes ago. Leaving Haerin alone, with Ni-ki, again.
Heh... Two chapters in a day. I guess I am amazing. 😈🙏 No but I decided to make two chapters since I hadn't updated this in a while. Sorry that if Minji still hasn't been somewhat mentioned, but don't worry she will soon.
Edit*
I just realized how short my chapters really are. So now I'm going to try to write longer 💜
