The Heist :
Minjeong woke the next morning to an empty bed, but a small note was left beside her pillow. She picked it up and read the words written in Catwoman’s familiar, playful handwriting: "Don't miss me too much."
Minjeong rolled her eyes, but a smile tugged at her lips despite herself. Jimin—no, Catwoman—was becoming all she thought about. It was ridiculous, how the notorious thief had snaked her way into Minjeong’s head, her dreams, her every waking thought.
The day passed slowly, each minute feeling heavier than the last. Minjeong tried to busy herself, cleaning her apartment, working out, anything to distract herself. Yet Jimin’s mischievous smile and the lingering feel of her touch haunted her throughout the day.
As the sun dipped below the horizon and the familiar chill of the night set in, Minjeong found herself donning her Spiderman suit once more. The mask slid back over her face as she leapt across rooftops, the city stretching out beneath her. The thrill of the night surged in her veins, but it wasn’t just the promise of catching criminals—it was the thought of seeing Jimin again.
Tonight, a major jewelry store had been hit. One of the biggest in the city. Minjeong had overheard the police scanner talk about it, and she knew it was only a matter of time before she found Jimin there. The police would be too slow, as always. This was her job now.
As she reached the scene, Minjeong spotted a familiar figure inside the store. Sure enough, Catwoman stood near a shattered display case, a large diamond glittering in her hand under the dim lights.
“Spidey,” Jimin purred, not even turning around. “I was waiting for you to show up.”
Minjeong narrowed her eyes behind her mask. “What are you doing, Jimin?”
“What does it look like?” Jimin asked, her voice silky smooth as she examined the diamond in her gloved hand. “I’m a criminal, remember? Which means you’re going to have to catch me.” Her lips curved into a smirk as she slipped the diamond into a small pouch at her side.
Without another word, Jimin bolted toward the exit. Minjeong immediately gave chase, her movements quick and precise as she leapt across the rooftops after her. The thrill of the pursuit sent adrenaline pumping through her veins, but so did the sight of Jimin’s form disappearing around corners.
It wasn’t long before Minjeong caught up to her, tackling her against a brick wall in a secluded alleyway. She pinned Jimin’s wrists above her head, their faces inches apart.
“This is an interesting position,” Jimin said, her smirk never faltering. Her dark eyes glinted with amusement, almost as if she enjoyed being caught.
“Stop it, Jimin,” Minjeong said, her voice rougher than she intended. “You need to return that diamond.”
“Why would I do that?” Jimin’s tone was teasing as she leaned in slightly, her breath warm against Minjeong’s neck. “I went through so much trouble to get it.”
Minjeong tightened her grip on Jimin’s wrists, but she couldn’t stop the heat rising within her. “Jimin…”
“Minjeong,” Jimin whispered back, her voice dangerously soft. “You could let me get away this one time. I know you want to.”
“I can’t.” Minjeong’s voice faltered. “Stealing is wrong, and you know it. I can’t let you go.”
Jimin’s eyes darkened with something more than mischief. “It’s also wrong to sleep with a criminal, Spidey. But that didn’t seem to bother you last night when you were begging for more.”
Minjeong felt her chest tighten, her heart racing as she clenched her jaw. The truth of Jimin’s words cut deep, leaving her speechless. She stared into Jimin’s eyes, trying to find the strength to resist the magnetic pull between them. But as always, Jimin had the upper hand.
“You’re not going to stop me, are you?” Jimin whispered, her lips inches from Minjeong’s. “You can’t resist me. You’re too caught up in your own desires, Spidey.”
Minjeong’s silence was enough of an answer.
Jimin chuckled softly, brushing her lips against Minjeong’s ear. “I win, baby,” she said, her voice dripping with satisfaction. “But don’t worry. You’ll have another chance to catch me. Next time.”
With a swift movement, Jimin slipped from Minjeong’s grasp and disappeared into the shadows, leaving Minjeong alone in the alleyway, her heart pounding in her chest.
