Nothing. Not a sound. Even Gemini is silent now, gliding around the palace, like they had been for who knows how long anymore. It's just them and a sweeping blanket of quiet.
Until it isn't.
Someone sounds like they're... crying? Surely that Evil Lunar wouldn't play the same tricks twice? No, he's back the other direction, preparing a room or something.
Could it really be him this time?
"Lunar!?" they called. "G-Gemini...?" came the muffled response.
"LUNAR!" "WE'RE COMING!" "KEEP CALLING!" And off the astral went. This time, there were many twists and turns on the way there. A few times, they accidentally went down the wrong hall, and had to retrace their steps.
It wasn't easy by any means, but eventually, they saw a corridor that ended in a cage.
And their Lunar was sitting inside of it.
"LUNAR!" exclaimed Gemini. They rushed over, and immediately grasped the bars that separated Lunar from liberation.
Tears streaked down Lunar's face. His eyes were wide, and he started to frantically explain what he'd seen.
"Gemini, you need to get out of here! There's an evil version of me, and-" he began hurriedly, but Gemini interrupted him. "There's an evil Lunar, we know! But don't worry, he isn't watching right now, we'll get you out of here!"
Lunar shook his head, and opened his mouth to explain the threat. But he never got the chance.
"Well. Looks like you've already broken my trust," came an aloof voice, making Gemini's eyes widen.
They turned around.
