Shirley also deactivated her phone because Nick was definitely tracking her as well.
She did it in a less dramatic way though.

"I think we need to stay here" she said as she was pacing through the room.

"I can't" I said. "I have a job and besides, he's not gonna kill us there"

"Us?" She snapped her head to me. "You think he wants to kill me too?"

I-uh-don't know" I stuttered. "Probably not, but just in case..."

I grabbed one of my knives and gave it to her. "Take this"

"I don't know what to do with these" she said, looking at the knife in her hand, as if it was something she never saw before.

"Generally, you use those to cut vegetables or meat" Lando said as he walked out of the bathroom. "But Bonnie likes to throw it at people"

I looked at Lando who was smiling at me. I grabbed another knife, threw it right next to him. It probably brushed his ear slightly.

"You missed again" he said, winking at me. "Her aim is a bit off lately"

"Weird, my aim is only off when it comes to you" I rolled my eyes.

He chuckled. "Lucky me"

"Lucky you" I smiled, but Shirley was still looking at the knife as if it would kill her. "I will teach you a few basic things tonight" I said.

I would gladly teach her how to throw some knifes, just like Lando taught me how to fight.

"Let's go girls" Lando put his cap on, held his hand out for me, which I immediately took. "You're coming too Shirl?" He asked.

"I really wanna stay here if you don't mind" she almost whispered. Her voice trembling a little.
She was utterly scared.

I looked at Lando, who was already looked at me. He shrugged. "I don't mind" he quickly said.

"Okay, but please stay inside, don't open the door for no one" I looked at Shirley. She nodded and her face immediately relaxed.

Did she really think they would attack us in the paddock? I highly doubted that.

"Hello kinky princess" Liam nudged me playfully. "How are you feeling today?"

"Pretty good" I smiled. "How are you?"

"Yeah I am alright" he nodded.

"Awesome" I grabbed a bottle of water out of the little fridge and wanted to walk out of the hospitality.

Lando was getting ready for the qualifying, probably getting a massage from Jon and trying to focus.

So I wanted to make a quick walk in the paddock, I always did that, maybe also to clear my mind.

Liam followed me out of the hospitality and started walking next to me.

"What are you doing?" I asked. He never went with me on my walks. He always said that he didn't need to clear his head, so fair enough.

"Lando told me to keep an eye out for you" Liam answered. "So that's what I am doing"

"He did what?"

"He asked to keep an eye out for you" he repeated, as if it was no big deal.

"Why? What did he tell you?"

"That you are afraid someone wants to hurt you" he said, put his arm around my shoulders. "Don't worry Bonnie, I will protect you"

I snorted. "Are you gonna scare the bad people away?"

"Oh definitely" he laughed. "I can always choke them or is that Lando's thing?"

I pushed him away and started laughing. "Shut up idiot"

But honestly I was happy he was here to offer me some protection.

I looked at him, smiling. "Thank you Liam"

"Don't mention it Bon, I am always here for you"

I trusted him, also because Lando trusted him enough to ask him to shadow me.

But I kinda hoped Kitt would try to kill me soon, I wanted to end this nonsense.

Hopefully very soon.
