*Beyoncé*
It was the pretty lady of the train. I didn't even think we would run into each other again and certainly not here and so soon.
I couldn't help but notice how beautiful she was. She was even prettier than yesterday, I swear.
She gave me an apologetic smile while stepping back "I'm really sorry, I didn't see you."
"It's fine, I'm good." I replied calmly "I didn't think I'd see you again."
"Neither did I, and certainly not here."
"I come here every evening but I don't think I've ever seen you before." I would have definitely remember her.
"That's because it's my first time here." Yeah that's what I thought "I'm going to order another coffee, how about you sit here so we can chat ?"
"I don't want to bother you."
"If I'm suggesting it, it means it doesn't bother me. Have a sit, I'll be back in a minute."
I didn't have time to say anything, she was already walking to the counter. I sat in the chair opposite as hers and put the tray in front of me. I then hung my bag on the back of the chair. I didn't want to eat yet because I felt like it would be disrespectful so I just waited for her.
Today she was wearing a mid-length red dress with long sleeves and a V-neck, revealing the top of her chest. She was stunning. I couldn't take my eyes off her.
She came back a couple of minutes later with her cappuccino in her hand and sat down in her chair. When her eyes met mine, I felt the same sense of destabilization as when she caught me observing her on the train.
"You're eating this time." She said, glancing at my tray.
I chuckled "Yeah I learned my lesson."
I tasted the iced latte and as usual it was delicious.
She also took a sip of her drink "So you're a regular ?"
I nodded "I come here after work because it's not crowded at this hour." I took a small bite of my chocolate muffin just to not seem too hungry. "What brought you here ?"
"I needed to be somewhere other than my office to work. I passed by this Starbuck, saw it was basically empty and came in."
"You work a lot, don't you ?" I remembered how she was typing crazy on that damn keyboard in the train for almost an hour.
She nodded "Work is an integral part of my life."
"And what do you do for work ?"
She smiled "I'm not telling you that easily."
Yeah she was definitely a famous woman or something.
"I can guess it just by looking at you anyway."
She raised an eyebrow. "Really ?"
"Yeah. I can bet you're either in the fashion industry or you're a business woman. You talk and act like a business woman."
She raised her cup to her lips and took a sip before answering "Me in the fashion industry ? That's a good one."
"So you're a business woman !"
She shrugged "Maybe. Maybe not."
Here she goes, acting all mysterious and shit.
The pretty lady and I talked for nearly half an hour about basically everything. I wasn't used to talk so much with someone I barely knew but it was different with her. It felt like we were old friends catching up on lost time, the conversation flowing effortlessly.
