They walked down the street making it to the moss covered, overgrown, falling apart state house. "Where the fuck are they?" Tess whispered as they hid behind a car.A truck sat out front, no movement around what-so-ever. No one walking around, or in and out. It was silent.
Joel and Tess looked at each other before standing, they slowly made their way over to the truck, Joel pulling the door open, holding his gun ready. No one was there, it was empty. He put his hand out for them to stay back as he walked around the other side, disappearing around the truck. Ellie, Lena and Alaska looked at each other, watching as Joel pulled the back door of the truck open.
"Joel? What the fuck is going on?" Tess asked as the others walked over.
"I don't know." he said looking in the truck before at the state house.
"They went inside" Ellie said looking at the stairs, Alaska peered over her shoulder seeing newer red blood trailing up the front steps. Tess suddenly grabbed Ellie's arm, the girl trying to pull away, looking back at Alaska
"Lets go" She started walking up the front steps, gripping Ellie's arm tightly
"Tess!' Alaska shouted, following the woman in a hurry
"Come on" The older woman scolded
"Tess!" Joel called, grabbing Lena's hand pulling her with him.
Tess pushed the door open with a grip on the back of Ellie's bag, pushing her forward, Gun up and ready over the girl's shoulder. The place was empty, they walked down the hall. "Holy Shit" Ellie said. New bodies and fresh blood everywhere. Whoever was waiting for them was dead.
"Woah-" Alaska sighed
"Oh Jesus"Joel scoffed
Ellie started down at a body, both Alaska and Joel grabbed her arm pulling her back from it. Alaska purposefully standing in front of Lena and Ellie.
"I mean - theres gotta be a fucking radio of somthin' right?" Tess said, going searching through different things and boxes, like crazy
"Who killed them? FEDRA?"Ellie asked, looking over at Joel
"No," Joel said, using his foot to turn one of the bodies. Bloody guts and brains falling from its head with a disgusting wet sound that made Helena want to puke "One of them got bit. The healthy ones fought the sick ones everyone lost-Tess!" Joel said, turning around, "What are you doing?"
Alaska put hand on Ellies shoulder, turning her face away from the bloody mess. Lena pressing her against his arm only looking at Joel and Tess.
"Where did Marlene say they were taking you?" Tess asked "Ellie!" "Uh- I don't know, just west" She said
