THIRD PERSON

"Keegan, I'm hungry. Grab me some snacks." He rolls his eye at Leticia's lazy request.

"Go get your own food. Baldado ka ba?" Masungit nitong sagot sa kanya. She glared at him.

"Kay Arlecchino ka lang ba talaga susunod?" Pairap nitong dabog. "Pinsan niya naman ako, napaka-arte mo naman!"

"Of course, he's the one who pays me." Maikli nitong sagot bago dumampot ng random na libro na nakalapag sa cockpit floor.

"Haunting Adeline?" Kaagad na inagaw ni Leticia ang libro sa kamay ni Keegan at mahigpit itong hinawakan sa kandungan niya.

"Keep your hands away from my things!" She retaliated. He shrugged his shoulders before crossing his legs.

"What kind of book is it?"

Napakagat naman ng labi si Leticia. "Why?"

"I was just curious. They say you are what you read." Pekeng napaubo ang dilag dahil sa narinig.

You are what you read? Then how is she supposed to say that this book is all about violence, human trafficking, stalking, and many more dark entries? How is she supposed to say that she loves toxic and problematic men to rail her?

"It's a uhmm. . . a romance book?" Kumunot ang noo ni Keegan dahil sa tono ng pag-aalanganin sa boses nito.

"Do you have other books? These long flight hours are making me all stiff and bored." Walang kabuhay-buhay nitong anas habang nakatitig lang sa safety card ng private jet. Hindi niya na mabilang kung ilang beses na niya itong binasa.

"Nope, I only bought this one." Mahigpit siyang napahawak sa libro na parang ayaw niyang bitiwan. "And I won't let you read it kasi hindi pa ako tapos!" She then took her ipad and waved it in front of him.

"How about some music?" She suggested.

"Listening to music while in the cockpit? Haven't you received proper training?" He chided sarcastically. Muli ay napairap na naman ang dalaga.

"I am only suggesting! And FYI alam kong as much as possible ay hindi suggested magpa-music sa cockpit dahil baka hindi marinig ang ATC! And I was in the same flight school as you so don't get too cocky!" Dipensa niya.

That's right, they learned at the same school. Keegan learned many things to become one of the best butlers. He's literally a walking jack of all trades. As for Leticia, she was also interested in aviation, which made her learn until she finally got her Private Pilot License (PPL).

They have been flying auto-pilot for three hours, and both are already bored. Puro na lang ulap ang nakikita nilang dalawa sa windshield.

Maya-maya ay nakarinig silang dalawa ng tunog ng bagay na nabasag mula sa labas ng pinto.

Patay malisya na nagbasa ng libro si Leticia samantalang dumukot naman ng phone si Keegan upang maglaro ng Game of Generals. They were minding their own business for a few minutes when they heard inaudible noises behind the doors. Sabay na napaangat ng tingin ang dalawa at nagtitigan nang marinig ang halinghing ni Sachal at ang pagmumura ni Kage.

Tumikhim si Leticia sabay tambon ng libro sa mukha niya upang hindi makita ni Keegan ang pamumula ng mukha niya. It was dead silent inside, every sound they make will be heard. It was embarrasing knowing she is alone with Keegan in a closed space.
