Jimmy's Perspective-

Scott Major.

What are some of the things you think of when you first hear his name?

Blonde hair, a beautiful face, a wonderful laugh and smile; I'll admit it, I'm in love.

And I'm sure he likes me back! He just needs to learn that I love him and see that we were meant to be.

We're like Romeo and Juliet! Just...minus the death and hate.

Me and Scott were soulmates, if you will. He just had trouble seeing it.

-

"Hey Scott! How'd you like our practice?" Jimmy asked when he saw Scott the next day.

"Oh- it was fun." Scott smiled and Jimmy rested his head on his hand, staring into Scott's eyes.

Oli, the boy sitting next to Scott, giggled.

Scott gave him a look and Oli coughed and looked away.

"So uh- how are you doing?" Jimmy asked, just wanting to hear Scott talk.

Scott shrugs, "Fine. I had a bad dream but I'm doing okay."

"Oh, what was the dream about?"

"I don't...wanna talk about it." Scott looks down and picks at his nails.

Jimmy hesitates but nods.

"Alright, well um...do you wanna hang out later?"

"No thanks."

Jimmy frowns but nods and leaves.

Scott's Perspective-

Scott sat at lunch and he got lost in his thoughts.

His eyes wandered around, and they found someone familiar.

They made eye contact and the harsh words once spoken returned.

Scott immediately looked away, turning back to his friends who were joking around.

Scott sighs and he looks down, unable to shake the guilt he was feeling.

"Scott, you okay?"

Scott snapped back and turned to Katherine.

"M-me? Oh, yeah I'm fine." He nods.

"I saw who you looked at."

Scott's grip tightens on his sandwich.

"I don't want to talk about it." He mutters.

Katherine sighs.

Scott was about to snap at her when he heard Shelby say 'ewww'. He looked over at her and saw her watching, her nose wrinkled, as Oli opened his sandwich and put chips on top of the cheese.

"Oli, what are you doing?" Sausage asked, laughing.

"Don't judge! Chips in a sandwich is a delicacy. I had it once at a sandwich shop and it was delicious." Oli stuck out his tongue.

"Seriously? That looks disgusting." Scott chuckled.

"You guys have no taste." Oli settles on before eating his sandwich, causing it to crunch.

"Why are you all staring?" He asked, his mouth full of food.

"Don't talk while eating!" Katherine scolded.

Oli mocked her in a high pitched voice and Katherine smacked his arm.

"Ow-! Lizzie!! They're bullying me!!!" Oil shouts towards their friend who was walking over.

Lizzie sighs as she sits down.

"Guys stop. That's called child abuse." She smirks as Oli shouts.

"Hey! I'm not a child."

Scott's mind wanders as he looks over at Jimmy.

It's just going to end up like last time. You'll mess up again.

Scott sighs and turns back to see Lizzie smirking at him.

Scott blushes.

"What?"

"I saw you looking at my brother." She teased.

"I- I was not!" Scott mumbles.

"It's fine if you like him, I approve." She teases. She was a newer friend of their group. Her old group kind of fell apart and she knew Oli, so he invited her over a couple of months ago. She didn't know everything that had happened with him.

Scott forced himself to laugh and smile and Katherine and Sausage gave him a concerned glance. Oli had most likely forgotten everything that had happened, he was like that. He was so happy and confident and Scott could only dream of having that attitude.

-

Sausage walked up to Scott and he sighed.

"Before you ask, yes you're probably right. I don't know what to do about him." Scott looks over at a group of guys from the fencing club. They were all laughing and joking around, Scott was now invisible to him.

"It's still haunting you, isn't it?"

"Of course it is!! How isn't it? I was so stupid." Scott sighs and looks down.

"Maybe you need to give yourself a second chance. Try things out with that Jimmy kid."

"I don't even know if I like him like that. I can't do that again. Just think I like him and then go with it. I'd hate myself if I did that."

"What do you think of him, anyway? Jimmy, I mean."

"I think he's funny. He's kind of annoying, though." Scott shrugs.

Sausage hums.

"Well, if I were you, I would go with my gut and say no if he asked you out." He said.

"Okay, you're probably right."

Scott takes a deep breath and Sausage pats his back.

"Come on, let's get to class." He smiles encouragingly.

Scott glances over at him and he gives Scott a nasty look before going off with his fencing friends.

"Scott?"

Scott turned back to Sausage who gave him a sympathetic look.

"Right..." Scott whispered, catching up to Sausage.
