I would set the skies alight for you,
Turn mountains to dust with a single breath,
If I thought that chaos could bring you joy.
But I've seen your gentle hands,
Touching the world with a tenderness
I never knew was possible.

I'd tear apart kingdoms, lay waste to cities,
If I believed it would bring you peace.
But I know you'd grieve for the beauty lost,
For the voices silenced, the lives undone.
So instead, I learn to see this world through your eyes,
To cherish what you hold so softly in your grasp.

I am a warrior, born of battle and blood,
But your love has shown me another way
A world worth protecting, not for power or pride,
But because it matters to you.
And in that love, I find my reason.

I used to think strength was in the fight,
In the destruction, in the flames,
But now I understand
Strength is in restraint, in the quiet choice
To let things be, because you'd want it so.

I will live for you,
Each breath a promise to cherish what you cherish,
To protect the things you hold dear,
Even if they are not my own.
Your heart is my guide, and though I am torn
Between the fire in my soul and the peace you seek,
I will follow you, wherever that path may lead.

I trust you, more than I trust myself.
For if you, with all your grace and kindness,
Can see worth in this world,
Then there must be something here to protect,
Something worth saving in the ashes.

And so, I stand beside you, not as a shield,
Not as a sword drawn against the darkness,
But as someone learning to love the light.
Because you love it, and I love you.
And in the end, that is all the reason I need.

Let the world burn or bloom around us
I will find my place within it,
Not as its conqueror, but as its guardian,
For you have taught me
That true power lies not in what we destroy,
But in what we choose to protect.
