After her last patient left, Ling leaned back in her chair and glanced at her desk calendar. She started counting the days, a frown slowly forming on her face. Grabbing her phone, she called Orm.

"It's been a while," Orm greeted, picking up.

"Yeah, that's why I'm calling. When was the last time you had your period pain? I think your next one is this week, right?" Ling asked, counting through her calendar.

"I thought you forgot about our deal," Orm laughed softly.

"I never break a promise," Ling replied with a reassuring tone.

"Should be today, but it hasn't come out yet. I'll call you when I feel the pain coming," Orm said.

"And don't forget, we need to get you that checkup for your menstrual pain. I have a gynecologist friend who can help."

"Should we?" Orm sighed. "I've seen a few doctors about it, and they all say I'm fine. You don't need to waste time accompanying me."

"I don't care," Ling reminded her, "it's part of the deal."

"Okay, okay," Orm gave in. "But can we do it after the Olympics? I've only got one month left, and I don't want the checkup results distracting me from the tournament."

"Promise?" Ling wanted reassurance.

"I promise," Orm agreed. "By the way, it's been a while since we've met in person. I was planning to have lunch at your restaurant with my coach. Want to join us?"

Ling smirked, sensing an opportunity to tease her. "Sounds like you miss me."

"What are you saying? Okay, bye I gotta go. If you wanna join us, see you at 1 pm later," Orm hurriedly hung up, her voice flustered.

"Cute," Ling grinned, whispering to herself.

After wrapping up the call, Ling finished her paperwork and checked her schedule with her assistant, Icha. She had passed most of her new clients to the other doctors at the clinic, leaving her with only a few existing patients. This allowed her more time to reflect on things that happened lately.

Driving to her restaurant, Prigkhing Classic Kitchen, Ling brought Icha along since they had just finished a meeting together. As she parked her car, Ling sensed that Orm had already arrived. That strange connection tugged at her once again, she couldn't help but feel a growing connection with Orm. She couldn't quite explain it, but something about tasting Orm's blood had created a spark between them.

"It's been a while since we've had lunch here. I missed the taste of the food here," Icha said after getting out of Ling's car.

Ling smiled. She was glad someone appreciated Bow's cooking.

As they entered the restaurant, Orm spotted Ling walking in with Icha. A small pang of disappointment flickered in Orm's chest—she had hoped Ling would come alone. Still, she plastered on a smile as Ling greeted her and sat down.

"Have you ordered yet?" Ling asked.

"Not yet," Orm shook her head. "I was waiting for you."

"Great! Lunch is on me today," Ling announced confidently, sounding flexing as the restaurant owner which earned a cheer from Icha. Orm just smiled, though her heart fluttered a little.

After they ordered, Icha excused herself to the washroom, leaving Ling and Orm alone at the table.

"So, where's your coach? Weren't you bringing him along?" Ling asked, arching an eyebrow.

Orm hesitated. "He canceled at the last minute, but I had already set up lunch with you, so I came anyway."

"Are you sure you're not just using your coach as an excuse to have lunch with me?" Ling gave her a playful and doubtful smile at the same time.
