The once lively atmosphere of Prig Classic Kitchen had faded, now filled only with the quiet sounds of boxes being packed and furniture being moved. Bow and Mint worked silently, sorting the last of the items. Meanwhile, in Ling's penthouse, Gulf was helping his sister pack away the memories and belongings she would no longer need.

As they arranged the last of the furniture in the living room, a heavy silence settled between them. Gulf finally broke it, his voice soft and hesitant.

"Are you sure about this?" Gulf question hung in the air like a weight.

Ling paused, her hands stilling on the edge of a box. She closed her eyes, trying to suppress the rising tide of emotions. "Yes," she whispered, nodding. "I've thought about it, over and over. I have to find another way to survive. Another way to be here, to stay alive... for everyone's sake."

Gulf's heart ached as he stepped forward, pulling his sister into a warm, tight embrace. He could feel the tension in her body, the battle she had fought in silence. He knew better than anyone how hard this decision had been for her.

"It's not fair," Gulf murmured against her shoulder, his voice thick with emotion. "It's not fair that you have to carry this burden alone."

Ling held him back tightly, her breath shaky. "I've made my choice," she said softly, though her words trembled. "It's the only way... for both of us. And for everyone."

Their embrace lingered for a moment longer, but it was broken by the shrill sound of Gulf's phone ringing. He pulled away, glancing at the screen. "Professor Satorn?" he said after seeing the name appear on his phone screen. A slight frown crossed his face before answering the call.

"Yes, Professor," Gulf greeted, stepping away from Ling.

"Gulf, I need you to come to the lab," Professor Satorn's voice echoed through the phone. "The experiment results we've been working on for weeks... they've just come out."

"I'll be there soon," he said quickly, glancing back at Ling, who was already gathering her things. He had been dedicating every spare moment to helping Professor Satorn ever since he found out about his sister's condition.

"I think we've made a breakthrough," Professor Satorn added, his voice filled with urgency. "You don't want to miss this."

"I'll leave now," Gulf replied, ending the call. He turned to Ling, his expression torn. "I've got to go. I'll be back later to continue sorting your belongings out."

"Go," Ling offered him a faint smile, nodding in understanding. "I'll be fine here," she said softly.

Gulf hesitated for a moment, looking at her as if he wanted to say something more, something comforting, but instead, he just nodded and left.

Once the door clicked shut behind him, Ling was alone. She stood in the empty penthouse, her eyes scanning the now-bare walls and boxes scattered around. With a heavy sigh, she walked into her private office.

The room was filled with memories—some good, some painful. She sat down at her desk, running her fingers over its smooth surface, the place where she had once made a secret deal with Orm. She could still see the scene clearly in her mind, the moment she bit Orm for the first time to relieve her pain, and how Orm had willingly supplied her blood for the vampire research.

But that memory now felt like a lifetime ago.

The thought of the previous night flashed through her mind like a cruel reminder. The alley, the place where everything had changed, a week ago.

The night air was thick with tension as Ling and Orm stood in the dark alley, the same place where they had first met. They had just shared an intimate kiss but as their lips parted, Ling took a step back, her eyes shadowed with sorrow.
