Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport buzzed with the energy of arrivals and departures, the air heavy with the scent of jet fuel and the sound of luggage wheels rolling across tiled floors. The constant hum of conversations in multiple languages filled the space, as weary travelers sought out transportation or reunited with loved ones.

Orm did not join the other Thai athletes for the Olympics closing ceremony—she had returned to Bangkok earlier than scheduled. She was on the same flight as Ling, Bow, and Mint. Fortunately, she had managed to secure a last-minute ticket, though it had cost her quite expensive.

As they waited at the arrival entrance, Orm glanced at Ling and gently placed her hand on her forehead. "How do you feel now? Better?" she asked.

"You know my body temperature is always this cold, right?" Ling grinned and playfully swatted Orm's hand away. "I'm fine."

Just then, a voice came from behind. "Hey, Orm," Franky called out as he approached. "Is this all your luggage?" He hold two of the luggage handle.

"Franky?" Orm turned in surprised. "I thought mom was going to pick me up."

"She's waiting in the car," Franky replied, casting a sharp glance at Ling. "I hurried here when I heard you were coming back with Dr. Ling."

Both Orm and Ling frowned, confused by Franky's odd tone.

"That's Gulf," Bow said, pointing to a car that had just pulled up a short distance away.

"Come on, let's go," Mint said, pulling her luggage towards Gulf's car with Bow following.

"I'll head out first. I'll call you later," Ling said, flashing Orm a smile before turning to Franky. "See you around."

The group split up, each heading to their respective destinations.

As soon as Orm stepped into the familiar surroundings of her home, she took a deep breath and spread her arms wide. "I missed home," she said with a satisfied sigh.

Her mother, Mrs. Koy, noticed something right away. "Where's your bracelet?" she asked, eyeing Orm's empty wrist.

"Oh, I took it off during the match. It got in the way, and I forgot to put it back on," Orm said, absentmindedly rubbing her wrist.

Mrs. Koy's expression grew serious. "Please don't take that bracelet off again," she insisted while walking over to a nearby cabinet and retrieving a small box. "And here, your necklace has been repaired. Keep this on too." She placed the necklace around Orm's neck.

"You've been insisting that I wear these ever since I was little," Orm frowned slightly, looking down at the silver jewelry.

Before she could probe any further, Mrs. Koy changed the subject. "Franky, help Orm bring the luggage upstairs."

Orm and Franky each grabbed a luggage and carried them up to her room. As they set the bags down, both of them let out a deep breath, exhausted from the climb.

"Why didn't you stay for the Olympics closing ceremony?" Franky asked, broke the silence first. "You told your parents that you were just tired, but I know you better than that."

"You caught me," Orm admitted. "Ling wasn't feeling well. I guess it's better if I followed her coming back."

"Dr. Ling, sick?" Franky seemed genuinely surprised. I thought... well, I didn't think vampires could get sick.

"Just a mild one, I guess. Later I'll go visit her, checking on her condition," Orm said.

"No! You're not her doctor. She is a doctor. She knows what she's supposed to do," Franky said firmly.
