Whatever this thing was, where ever it came from, whoever it used to be...it was killing nonstop, devouring the bodies of those who didn't survive.

The Lucky Seven including Logan and two other mutants had stayed to attack and get the situation under control but it was too strong, it kept healing itself and growing much larger with every hit and burn.

It had ripped apart one of the two random mutants that must have been from The Brotherhood, they didn't look familiar to Logan. Then at one point it had grabbed Logan by his neck and lifted him high in the air, slashing it's shard arm across his chest until his shirt was shredded into pieces. A few slashes left rips in his jeans and healing cuts on his face, it would have continued if Homelander hadn't beamed straight through it's arm.

Catching Logan before he could hit the ground, the man was a sweating mess and gasping for air as he mumbled about being okay and to watch out.

Seeing the other man hurt, Homelander had about enough. His eyes started to glow bright red, frozen in mid air as he let out the loudest scream while scorching the slimy fucker into a puddle of smelly goo. The stench was horrifying, it was bubbly and popping in all direction but it was as good as gone.

One of Homelanders men, some fish looking fucker had come out of nowhere while poking at the puddle.

''That's definitely not coming back, what do you want us to do with it Boss?''

''I don't give a fuck what you do with it, get it the hell out of here and put it someplace to freeze.''

Logan had rubbed at his throat, still feeling that gross arm around his flesh.

''That's like nothing I've ever seen before, what was it?'' Logan asked, brushing off the dirt from his jeans and exposed chest.

Homelander couldn't help where his eyes wandered off to, staring at the hair on the other mans chest, the light sweat that dripped in between those juicy pecs and lower he went...so low that he followed the trail of hair that hid something much more delicious in his case.

''We're not sure what that was but we'll investigate where it came from and how it was made. Thank you for your help, Wolverine.'' Ashley said, holding her hand out in a shake.

Logan grumbled, picking up his shredded shirt. Ashley slowly put her hand down as Homelander (John) have her a stern stare.

''It's whatever, might have to make a new speech about those who lost their lives.''

Ashley gulped, nodding her head towards the other six hero's as they followed her back to the security that were still helping people from the attack.

''Let me take you home, Logan. I can get you there faster than any car or jet.''

The smaller man looked up, falling into those ocean colored eyes. Something that Logan found fascinating yet odd.

''I'm good bub, I'll catch a bus or what-''

''That's unnecessary, please. Let me fly you home, it's the least I can do since this special day was ruined. It'll be quick, plus I'll have time to go over the events inside my head while flying back. It helps me sometimes.''

Logan felt strange about the offer, but would it get him home faster? Possibly, he really needs a shower and to make sure Scott isn't badly injured.

''Alright, make it quick. I have important business at home.''

Homelander swooped the dirty man up, causing a loud gasp to escape his lungs.
