Need Some Time

Logan didn't know how long he had been sitting in that Jet, he might have even passed out at one point. Sleeping off all the irritation and sadness he had built up inside his body. But even then, waking up wasn't one of his options.

''You're finally awake, we came to check on you a few times but you seemed like you wanted to stick around in this tiny thing.'' Beast stretched his legs out.

''Wasn't supposed to be in here that long, Scott around?''

Beast nodded, picking at one of his nails.

''He was asking about you, asked where you were but Storm and I told him to let you be. He tried many times to come in here but we told him it was best he leave you alone for a bit.''

Logan hummed, stretching the tight suit out.

''Thanks, unlike Jean. I don't want to talk to him tonight, I just want to get out of this sticky thing and go to my room. So if you don't mind, I'll be leaving now.''

Beast didn't stop him, he watched him go but didn't think twice about stopping the smaller guy.

Logan wasn't in the mood for chit chat, he was still too sensitive from the Scott issue.

''Logan! Hey Logan, wait up. Please can we talk?''

Whipping around, Logan growled.

''Listen to me, I gave you fucking space to makeup with your ex fucking girlfriend. You chose to talk to her than waiting until AFTER the fucking mission. Now it's about time you do the same, give me my god damn space and let me think about if I want to continue being with you.''

Scott was gaping, many emotions running through his body as he stared at the man he was falling in love with.

''Logan...Logan no, I didn't choose Jean over you, I could never. I needed to fix things so she wouldn't continue hurting you or saying things that she didn't mean. I didn't want her coming at you the way she did the other night, you mean the world to me and I'm so fucking sorry for the things I even said. I was angry because you lied to me, you kept something that would have been an easy fixing. I care about her, yes. But as a friend, as a teammate but nothing more. I knew you would be okay going on this mission...although...I was hurt you didn't say goodbye but I kind of figured you wouldn't with the way I acted.''

Scott whispered the end

''I didn't mean to snap at you, I didn't mean to make you feel less than Jean. I only talked to her for about 30 minutes and ended it there. I spent time with Rogue and Bobby, then I tried to call Charles but he wouldn't pick up. I found him later on after you guys got back but he said the signal needed to be turned off. Something about unwanted interruptions. But Logan, I hope you understand that when I left to talk to her, I wasn't choosing her over you. I could never, I basically told her that I wouldn't go on the same missions with her or stay in the same room as her if she thought it would be okay to talk to you the way she had.''

Logan still not making eye contact, kept his on his gloved hands.

''I swear on everything I love, you mean more than me than anybody else. I honest to god didn't mean to make it look any different, bab-Logan.''

Logan gulped, he believed Scott but he needed time away from him for a little while.

''Thanks for telling me all of that, but it still doesn't help the voice inside my head telling me how you chose her. I know you're saying you didn't, that it's important to fix things than to run away from them but I felt like you ran away from me over choosing to make me feel like it was going to be okay.''
