"You're all set." Shinobu says as she pulls the last of the stitches out of Y/ns back. Stretching her arms over her head, Y/n let's out a big sigh. "It feels weird taking the bandages off after two weeks." She laughs, looking at the stitches piled in a bowl. She had twenty-five stitches in total.

"It's best to not strain your body too much since the wounds haven't fully healed yet, but other than that, you're free to move around till your heart's content." Shinobu says, sticking a cotton pad on the individual wounds.
"If you want, you could stay a few more days. Having you help out around here isn't half bad." Shinobu remarks nonchalantly, glancing at Y/ns' expression.

"As much as I would love to stay, I can't. I have a few things I want to do." Y/n says as a pang of guilt peirces her heart. She enjoyed helping out at the butterfly estate, often fetching medicines for Shinobu and watching Lady Kanae train little Kanao. "It's nice being here, but finding Chelsea takes priority. " Y/n thinks to herself.

"Leaving so soon?" Lady Kanae asks, standing in the doorway. "Yeah." Y/n nods apologetically. "Are your wounds healed enough to make the trip to Mount Sagiri?" Lady Kanaes' sincere question made Y/ns heart ache. "I'll be fine if I take it slow." Y/n says with a smile, hoping it would be enough to convince Lady Kanae.
"Well then, I hope you have a safe journey. And feel free to visit us any time." Lady Kanae says with a dejected smile. "I will, don't worry." Y/n reassures her, a little sad to leave her new friends behind.

After packing some clothes, Lady Kanae lent her in a small travel bag, Y/n looks at the small hairpstick box. "A memento?" Y/n hears Rengoku at the door. "You could say that." She chuckles, taking the hairstick out of the box, the red peony gleaming in the morning sun. "The craftsmanship is amazing!" Rengoku says as he takes the hairstick from Y/n, his attention on the delicate flower ornaments.
"It suits you." Rengokus sudden remark surprised Y/n. "Peonies suite you quite well." Rengoku repeats himself before handing the hairstick back to Y/n.

"I hear you're leaving today." His statement sounded more like a question. Nodding, Y/n places the hairstick back in the box, tucking it into her bag. "I have something I need to do."
"Be safe out there. I hope we meet again, Y/n." Rengoku gives her an encouraging smile. "I hope so too, Rengoku." Y/n says, having enjoyed Rengokus company.
After Y/n finished packing, she bids Rengoku a final farewell and sets out on her journey to find Urokodaki.

Making her way up Mount Sagiri, Y/n looks out over the snow-covered farmland. Even after a full weeks travel she still couldn't get over the splendour of the winter wonderland. It was like all of the fields were covered in a white blanket, keeping everything hidden till spring.
"Are you heading up the mountain?" An old man asks Y/n as he stops at the side of the winding road, his cart full of firewood.

"Ohh yes.." Y/n replies, brushing a stray hair out of her face. The man furrows his brows. "Be careful. Demons have been prowling around these days."

Looking at the man, a chill runs down Y/ns spine. "Demons, huh.." Y/n still couldn't wrap her head around the concept. Bidding the man goodbye, Y/n grips her bag a little bit tighter, beginning her ascent up the mountain again.

"Yeap. I took a wrong turn somewhere." Y/n sighs exasperated. She couldn't see anything through the night clad forest. "Demons are nocturnal." Shinobus words echo in Y/n mind, as a cold sweat breaks out all over her body. Biting her nails, Y/n closes her eyes.
"Calm down, Y/n. You just need to find a place to stay for the night." Taking a steadying breath, Y/n opens her eyes. Scanning through the trees, Y/n notices a flight of stone steps.
"Well, it could only lead somewhere helpful." Y/n shrugs, slowly making her up the steps.

As she reached the top, she noticed that it was a small shrine.
"Kind of a weird place for a building." Y/n walks closer to the shrine, the rustling canopy overhead eery in the silent forest. "Hello?" Y/n calls out, walking up the stone pathway. As she reached the wooden steps, light flickered on inside the building.

"This is weird." Y/n thinks to herself as she backs away from the shrine, a sinister feeling settling in her stomach.
Keeping her eye on the shrine, Y/n notices something, starting to move inside. Each step sounded heavy on the shrine floor.

The creaking of floorboards suddenly stops, and Y/n could see the silhouette of a person through the door. A chill runs down Y/n spine, and her heart starts to  beat wildly. The silhouette had no head.
