Note: In this Barristan is still alive because he shouldn't have been killed off in the show- I said what I said.

Tyrion Lannister

Meereen, 306 AC

There had been another three attacks through the night. Himself and Varys had been awoken alongside Missandei, Grey Worm, and Ser Barristan right before the sun was set to break across the horizon given the dim red glow that was partially visible. An entire street had been torched at first, and how many people were in said street was difficult to say considering even now the fire was still roaring away. Then there had been a break in of one of the pyramids within the city that his Queen had acquiesced on the oldest Ghiscari families keeping as their homes and Shazzan Mo Laqoz and his seven sons had been butchered.

Tyrion knew why they had been killed, for they were vocal in being at least somewhat supportive of the changes. They weren't wholly for the outlawing of slavery, yet they were pleased by the proposition of signing yearly contracts. After all, Daenerys hadn't explicitly stated what the contracts had to entail, something he had brought up to her many a time but her mind was made up. Once she had made a decision, there was very little chance of changing it. The third attack was still ongoing hence why they had yet to leave the Great Pyramid of Meereen, followers of the Harpy tearing through the streets below killing anyone who showed an ounce of support for his Queen.

"I think we should speak to the King- "

He began but was quickly silenced once more by Ser Barristan.

"Hizdahr Zo Loraq is currently detained under my watch. He is not to be freed until we know for certain he has had no part in this."

Tyrion forced himself not to roll his eyes. By now, he was sure he could speak the same words backwards whilst standing on his head.

"The Hand may have a point, Ser Barristan."

Missandei spoke quietly, still not being wholly used to being able to use her voice freely. She'd been icy towards him since the attacks began as she and Grey Worm both believed that his plot of slowly phasing out slavery had been taken as a sign by the followers of the Sons of the Harpy that they may still be able to sway their Queen to turn to their beliefs. They could try all they liked, yet they would never succeed.

"Hizdahr Zo Loraq- "

Ser Barristan began again but he was cut off by another voice joining them. Turning to see Skahaz Mo Kandaq enter- or the Shavepate as he preferred to be known as. Unlike with Shazzan Mo Laqoz, he had fully forgone the ways of Old Ghis. He had sworn himself to their cause and appeared to be firmly on their side.

"My dislike of Hizdahr Zo Loraq is not hidden. It was I who discovered that Strong Belwas was poisoned by the candied locusts Meereen's great King gifted to the Queen which she refused. Yet he may have information. It has been months since the Queen fled on Drogon, meaning it has been months since he had seen day or had a decent meal. Even a delirious man cannot always hold their tongue."

Missandei was horrified by his words and she opened her mouth a few times and closed it again. Visibly gulping and looking down to the ground as she fidgeted with her fingers. Tyrion thought the words through and understood there was indeed some merit to them. His father had done so in Casterly Rock many a time, and many people had broken for a chance of freedom after being held captive in the Black Cells of the Red Keep.

"I believe we should all break our fasts and revisit in a few hours. Once clearer heads prevail."

Despite Varys slowly being an advisor considering he had yet to gather a foothold with his birds fully, they all agreed to do this. Waiting behind as did the man from Lys who sank into the plush red cushions of the bench beside the windows.
