Really short, but fluffy
Legolas didn't know you were scared of spiders, and you intended to keep it that way. Even the small ones were terrifying, not to mention the big ones. It was one of the main reasons you didn't venture into the forest, and rather stayed in the palace.
The halls of the Elvenking were immaculate, and, thankfully, there weren't many spiders to be found there, big or small.
Until today. And, of course, it had to be in your bedchamber. Why, oh, why couldn't it have been anywhere else? Or at least in the bathtub? Then you could have washed it down the drain, and wouldn't have to deal with it afterwards.
Slowly, very slowly, you inched closer to the spider, a boot in your hand. You held your breath as you raised the boot over your head and brought it down. It missed as the spider moved. You shrieked as it ran towards you, and you stumbled back onto the bed, dropping the boot in the process.
Where was it? Where was it?
You scanned the room, all trace of the spider had vanished.
The door burst open, and there stood your husband, in all his glory. His bow was drawn, and he moved it back and forth, as if looking for a target. Upon finding none, he finally put the bow away.
"Mellith nin, what is the matter? I heard your scream from the hall."
"There's a spider," you gasped. "I don't know where it went- IT'S ON YOUR BOOT!!"
Legolas looked down to see the spider climbing onto his boot. Instead of panicking, he simply regarded it with interest. Picking it up, he held it up, examining it. You nearly gagged. Then, he started walking towards you. The audacity.
"No!" You cried, cringing away. "You get that thing out of here! Now!"
Legolas tilted his head, curiously. "Are you... scared of spiders?"
"Just get it out!"
Legolas walked to the window, opened it, and put the spider on the outside wall. He turned back into the room. "Why didn't you tell me?" There was a hurt expression on his face. You looked down in shame.
"Because I want to be with you, and there's kind of spiders everywhere here. But I didn't want to compromise our marriage." Legolas moved towards you as if to capture you in a hug. That sounded really nice, but... "don't touch me until you've washed your hands. Twice."
Reluctantly, Legolas moved to the bathroom. You heard the sound of running water as he washed his hands. You took a few deep breaths, trying to calm yourself.
Legolas returned to the room and pulled you into a hug. You nestled into his chest, sighing contentedly.
"You should have told me."
"I'm sorry, but I didn't think it was that big a deal."
"Not that big-? Y/N, we live in a forest infested by these creatures!"
"Yeah, why do you think I don't go into the actual forest part? Look, I can deal with the small ones, I think. But the big ones? I'd probably faint in terror."
Legolas ran his hand up and down your back. "Then as long as I live, you will never have to see one of the big ones."
"Thank you."
"And, Y/N, if you ever see one of the small ones, come to me. I will handle it."
You just hugged him tighter, which he returned.
