Aylin's POV

I couldn't help but feel a surge of pride as I watched Matt in his pilot uniform, looking every bit the handsome and confident man I fell in love with all those years ago. He leaned in to kiss me, his lips warm and familiar against mine, and I couldn't help but smile.

But my smile faltered when Kyes ran into the room, his little face twisted in a pout. "Mama, dada.....why can't I come with you?" he sobbed, his big brown eyes filled with tears.

Matt knelt down and scooped Kyes into his arms, his voice gentle as he explained that the function was only for adults. I felt a pang in my heart as I looked at my baby bump, a reminder of the new life growing inside me. I wished Kyes could come with us, but I knew it wasn't possible.

I reassured Kyes that Aunt Natalie would come to look after him, and he eventually calmed down, his tears drying as he clung to Matt's neck.
