Aylin's POV
As I sat in the girls dormitory with Natalie, we talked about our crushes. Natalie couldn't stop gushing about Daniel, the sports guy and Prefect. I couldn't help but smile as I thought about Matt, the Headboy. He always made me feel special and I loved how he would break the rules just to spend time with me.
Natalie teased me about how I always seemed to be breaking the rules with the Headboy instead of following them. I blushed and tried to change the subject, but deep down I knew she was right. Matt had a way of making me feel alive and I couldn't resist him.
"Come on, spill the details, Aylin. What did Matt do this time to make you break the rules?" Natalie nudged me with a mischievous grin.
I laughed, feeling a warmth spread through me as I recounted the latest adventure with Matt. "Well, he snuck me out of the dorms last night to watch the stars. It was so romantic, Natalie. I just can't help but fall for him more and more each day."
Natalie rolled her eyes playfully. "You two are like a modern-day Romeo and Juliet. Just be careful, Aylin. You don't want to get in trouble with the teachers."
I nodded, knowing she was right. But in that moment, all I could think about was the way Matt's eyes sparkled under the moonlight.
Matt's POV
Sitting in my cube with my buddies, I couldn't help but feel grateful for their friendship. Luke, Daniel, Sammy, and Jake always had my back and we shared so many stories and laughs together. Sammy teased me about being a crazy Headboy, always telling students to follow the rules while breaking them myself for Aylin. I couldn't help but smile at his words, knowing that Aylin was worth every rule I broke.
"Hey Matt, what's the latest rule you've broken for Aylin this time?" Luke joked, nudging me with a grin.
I chuckled, feeling a sense of pride as I thought about Aylin. "Well, last night I snuck her out to watch the stars. She loved it, man. I just can't resist making her happy."
Daniel shook his head in mock disapproval. "You're whipped, Matt. But hey, if she makes you happy, then who are we to judge?"
As I sat next to Aylin during lunch, I felt a sense of pride knowing that she was mine. I made announcements about the Pre Independence Celebration and felt excited to showcase my Manus and Oro dances. Seeing Aylin in her Gulf Traditional Attire would be a sight to behold and I couldn't wait to share that moment with her.
I knew that being the Headboy came with responsibilities, but having Aylin by my side made everything worth it. She brought out the best in me and I was grateful for her love and support. As we prepared for the celebration, I couldn't help but feel lucky to have Aylin as my girlfriend.
