Aryamann's POV!

The party was almost over and the guests started leaving one by one. It was one hell of a task to get that woman off me. I had to literally pry her off.

I looked around, but couldn't find Bhumi anywhere.

A bout of guilt assailed me, but I ignored it. I did this for her only. So that she would really understand the scores between us and she wouldn't start hoping for more, which would eventually lead to a heartbreak for her.

But at the same time, the thought of hurting her was making me uncomfortable.

I don't understand what's happening to me, or why. I even had a verbal altercation with Jai regarding Bhumi. I become so annoyed whenever he talks about Bhumi.

"Aditi, where is Bhumi?" I asked my sister as I spotted her.

She shot me a loathing look, which surprised me.

"Aditi? What's wrong? Where is Bhumi?" I asked again.

"Well, a little late to search for your bride, don't you think so, big brother?" She replied sarcastically.

"What's the matter? What happened to Bhumi?" Now I was getting worried. No one was telling me anything, and I was yearning for a glimpse of Bhumi.

"Why don't you look around? She must be somewhere here. Or she could have left. Who knows?" Gaurav said offhandedly before walking away.

"What's up with him?" I asked in confusion.

Daksh simply shook his head and walked away, with Aditi following him.

Guests were slowly leaving the venue, and I was still searching for my bride while trying to reach her on the phone. But she wasn't answering my calls. Finally, after almost an hour, she picked up.

"Finally! Bhumi, where are you? I have been calling you for an hour now. I can't see you anywhere here," I said, relieved that she finally picked up.

"I already left, Aryamann," she said calmly.

"What do you mean you left?" I whisper-yelled through the phone.

"I was tired, so I left," she said blankly.

"Why didn't you tell me? I would have taken you home. How did you go?" I asked, worriedly.

"I left with Jai," she said, setting me off.

"Jai? You left with Jai?" I exclaimed.

"Yes," she said calmly.

"I am coming to your apartment now," I said hurriedly.

"No need. I haven't reached my apartment yet," she said, making me go mad.

"But you already left an hour ago," I screamed.

Goodness! I have never screamed like this in my life ever.

"Well, we are here at Hyde Street," she said, delivering what felt like a direct blow to my gut.

"Why?" I asked in a strained voice.

"What do you mean why? I already told you before the party that I wanted to come here," she said, her annoyance evident.

"But that was our thing, Bhumi. You were supposed to go there with me," I said, struggling to understand.

Our thing? What nonsense am I talking about? What's happening to me?

"Well, Aryamann, you were pretty busy dancing with the woman that took your fancy. So I thought not to disturb you," she snapped, and I went silent for a moment.
